Mixed Blood Theatre performs at Augsburg TODAY

Mixed Blood Theater will be performing at Augsburg today.

THEORY OF MIND by Ken LaZebnik
3:30-4:15 p.m., in Sateren Auditorium - Music Hall
Admission is FREE

"I always try to act normal but my normal isn't normal."

A sensitive yet unsentimental portrait of a young man with Asperger's Syndrome. Bill is a college-bound seventeen year-old, equipped with scholastic brilliance, but low emotional intelligence; keen self-awareness, yet an inability to read social cues; and a charming directness. He is also uncertain about relationships, anxious about dating, and prone to taking everything he hears literally. His outing with a girl from his school becomes a memorable, insightful look at tugs, shifts and about-faces found on the autism spectrum.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg College wide receiver Mike Nourie (SR, Nicollet, Minn.) was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week on Monday for his outstanding performance in the Auggies' 28-21 win over Gustavus on Saturday.

The honor marks the third straight week that an Auggie football player has earned MIAC Player of the Week honors; quarterback Marcus Brumm (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) earned MIAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors two weeks ago, and defensive lineman Alex Glasenapp (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./Minneapolis South HS) earned MIAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week and D3football.com national Team of the Week honors last week.

Nourie caught nine passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning touchdown with 46 seconds left in the game, in Augsburg's victory over Gustavus, the Auggies' third win in a row. On the final nine-play, 75-yard drive, Nourie caught four passes for 50 yards, including the game-winning 11-yard score. Nourie also caught an eight-yard touchdown pass just before halftime.

On the season, Nourie now has 48 receptions for 643 yards and a team-high six touchdowns, the receptions and yardage totals ranking second to teammate Muneer Al-Hameed (JR, Woodbury, Minn./Minneapolis Washburn HS) among MIAC receivers in overall statistics. Nourie ranks third among MIAC players in conference-only statistics in both receptions (6.80 per-game) and receiving yardage (90.4 yards per-game).

In his career, Nourie now has 190 receptions (third in school history) for 2,201 career yards (fourth in school history).

Now 4-3 overall and 3-2 in MIAC play, the Auggies travel to St. Paul to face the University of St. Thomas this Saturday (10/31) at 1 p.m.
