Submitter:
Amy Sutton, Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, Development

Message: We kicked off our campus crop club this summer and are looking forward to our monthly scrapbooking evenings throughout the year. For those who participated during the summer, thanks for all of the fun and great ideas! The following dates are our scheduled Tuesday evenings for fall: September 12, October 10, November 14, and December 12. All events will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will be in the upper level of Christensen Center. (Location will depend on participants so we are sure to have plenty of space to spread out!)

Please mark your calendars and join us if you can! Bring your photos (and albums/supplies if you already scrapbook!). Great Creative Memories tools will be available for your use, and products/instruction are available if you are just getting started on your own keepsake album or simply want to learn how to safely organize and store your photos. Stop by in September and check out a new product called Storybook Creator which allows you to drop pictures into template pages on your computer, add captions or your story, and send it off to be printed into an actual stitch-bound, high quality book!

If it is a picture worth taking, isn't it a memory worth preserving and celebrating?! Stop by in September and see how easy it can be!

Please contact Amy Sutton at 338-6533 or suttona@augsburg.edu or Marie Odenbrett at 330-1104 or odenbre1@augsburg.edu if you have any questions. You are welcome to join us for all or part of the evening or to just drop in, but please contact Amy if you know you will attend so we can plan space, snacks and surprises!

Message: http://www.augsburg.edu/athletics/liveaudio/

Augsburg College is in its second year of a partnership with internet broadcaster Stretch Internet to provide live streaming webcasts of numerous sporting events throughout the school year.

The entire Auggie football schedule, starting with Saturday's (9/9) game at Northwestern-Roseville, will be aired online through Stretch Internet (there will be no over-the-air radio coverage of Auggie football this season). Also, seven Augsburg volleyball matches will be webcast this fall.

In addition, numerous other Auggie sporting events throughout the school year will be webcast through Stretch Internet. Game broadcasts will also be archived on the website.

To access the webcasts, log onto Augsburg's athletic website at http://www.augsburg.edu/athletics/ and click on the "Live Audio" link on gamedays (http://www.augsburg.edu/athletics/liveaudio/). Apple's QuickTime Player, a free multimedia software program compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems, is required to use the service.

Stretch Internet, in its fourth year of business, provides audio streaming and other Internet services to numerous colleges, universities, professional teams and radio stations across the country. Founded by a former college sports information director, Stretch Internet is devoted to customer service and providing a first-class, high quality experience for its clients and their extended communities.

Several other Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference schools, including Carleton, St. Olaf, St. Mary's, Hamline, Gustavus Adolphus and Bethel, are also utilizing Stretch Internet for their live webcasts.
