Subject: REMINDER: Lot H Closed for Gateway Construction
Submitter:
John Pack, Director, Public Safety

Message: As most of you are aware Lot H, also know as the North Faculty Staff Lot, is closed for construction of the Gateway building. Faculty and staff parking displaced by this project has shifted to Lot L. Lot L is the newly constructed parking lot just east of the athletic field.

Starting Monday, September 4, and continuing until Friday, September 8, the Department of Public Safety will have an employee stationed at the old entrance to Lot H. The employee will be on-site from 7:30 - 10 a.m.. If you are unsure how to get to the new parking lot, feel free to swing by the old Lot H entrance to pick-up a map and have your questions answered. You can also call the Department of Public Safety at 612-330-1717 with your parking questions. That phone is answered all day, every day.

Message: There is now another option for ordering transcripts at Augsburg, on-line ordering!!

Augsburg College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide transcript ordering through a secured internet transaction. You will need a credit card to use this service and will not be charged until Augsburg College sends your transcript. Of course, you can still order transcripts via the mail or in-person at the Enrollment Center.

Please refer to the transcript ordering information found through the Registrar web page under the link Request a Transcript (near the bottom of the page). You will find a detailed description of your ordering options, including the price schedule. A direct link is: http://www.augsburg.edu/enroll/registrar/transcripts.html

Note, ordering transcripts on-line will have the current price structure, ordering through the mail or in-person will cost $1 more.

Subject: Free Stand-Up Musical - 30 Tickets Available
Submitter:
Ross Murray, Campus Ministry Associate; Tutoring Services Coordinator, Campus Ministry and Academic Enrichment

Message: Hello Theatre Lovers,

I got another call on my magic phone today from the Hennepin Theatre Trust with an offer of free theatre tickets for the Augsburg community.

Funny Business is a musical about stand-up comedy. This stand-up musical with a punchline comes to Minneapolis after a successful run in Los Angeles where The Hollywood Reporter called it "terrific entertainment…a wonderful evening of wit and music with lots of laughs."

The action takes place in a comedy club where four stand-up comedians (some up-and-coming, some down on their luck) try to make the big time. A great blend of music and comedy, the production is a showcase for standup comics and their material. The lively score is a blend of rock, pop, blues and gospel.

Funny Business showing at the Hennepin Stages (824 Hennepin Avenue). We have the ability to go on Sunday, September 10 at 5 p.m.. I have 30 tickets available for the first to email me at murray@augsburg.edu. After the first 30, I’ll create a waiting list and see if I can get any more.

Subject: New public art in Lindell Library!
Submitter:
Kerry Morgan, Coordinator of Galleries and Exhibits, Art

Message: Art professor robert k. tom has installed a large sculpture on the main floor of Lindell Library. The artwork, titled "mana revisited," is a fuse cast glass and off hand glass piece that was included in a solo exhibition of robert tom's work this past summer at the Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson, WI. Professor tom was able to complete this piece and loan it to the College thanks to the support of a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant, Chip Brown, and Foci Glass Studio.
