Digital Humanities -- Think It's an Oxymoron?

The Augsburg community is invited to join students in HIS 280 ("The History Workshop") for a presentation by two specialists in digital humanities on Tuesday, November 19, at 6 p.m. in OGC 201.

Kirsten Delegard, Visiting Scholar in the History department and creator of the Historyapolis Project, will make a presentation titled "The siren song of the digital humanities: or why I'm writing a book on Facebook." She will be joined by Justin Schell, Digital Humanities specialist at the University of MN, who will talk about the projects underway at the U and elsewhere.

In Kirsten's words, "Justin will be great at giving the 'big picture' on the digital humanities ... [while] I'm casting my talk as a 'conversion narrative' that explains why and how even the technically illiterate (like myself) can and should be doing digital history."

Babysitter/Nanny Available

Hi everyone,
My mother lives across from campus and she is looking for a babysitting/nanny job. She used to be an Arabic teacher for children in the elementary school. She also was responsible for lunch hour coordination and child nutrition. Because she does not like cold, she is hoping that she can take care of the kid(s) in her apartment.

If you are interested please connect with me at 612-607-2314 (Ibrahim)
