Important Campus Box Information for Students

For those of you who are returning day undergraduate students, please read this important information about your campus box:

Due to the large amount of research done each day to identify mail that does not arrive with a campus box number, Central Services has reassigned ALL campus boxes by alphabetical order.

You should have received an email to your Augsburg email address with your new campus box number.

Just a reminder, if you live on campus, your dormitory name and room number is not a part of your college address, the address for all student mail is:

Your Name
731 21st Ave S CB#____
Minneapolis, MN 55454-1398

If you have any questions, please contact the mailroom at 612-330-1119 or mailship@augsburg.edu.

Central Services Update

Welcome back Students, Staff and Faculty. There have been some changes over the summer to the Mailroom and Copy Center.

- We reassigned all registered undergrad day student mailboxes. An email was sent out to these students with their new campus box numbers. If you did not receive an email, please contact the Mailroom at extension 1119.
- New business hours for the Mailroom will begin September 3rd, 2013. The new hours of operation will be 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. If you need assistance outside of these hours, stop by Shipping & Receiving and someone will assist you. Shipping & Receiving hours are 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- All stamps for your personal or department needs are now sold in Shipping & Receiving in the lower level of Christensen Center. Singles, books, and rolls, plus postcard and international stamps are available. We accept cash, checks and Visa or MasterCard. Please note there is a $2 minimum for credit card transactions.
- In June, new copiers were installed campus wide. Please call the copy center at extension 1054 with all copier AND printer service issues, toner or paper needs, or personal training.
- The copy center requests that all copy/print jobs be submitted through the online order form. This form is important in printing your jobs correctly and efficiently. You can locate the form on Inside Augsburg> A to Z Directory> Central Services> On-line ordering> Copy Request Form. This form will ensure ALL pertinent information is captured. This will help the staff reduce printing errors and minimize the amount of contact needed in order to correctly print your job and complete it on time. Walk-in copy requests with your hard copy originals are still welcome in the Copy Center. If you are requesting a job from your computer, however, the copy center requests that it be submitted through the online order form, instead of an email to copyctr.

Event Announcements

Weekend College Connection Centers, Sept. 6-7

Good afternoon:

This coming Friday/Saturday, September 6-7, is the first WEC weekend of the fall semester. Typically, there has been a welcome/welcome back luncheon on Saturday. However, in order to touch more students we are changing things a little.

Rather than one event on Saturday over the lunch hour, we are going to have 3 events. Rather than one location, there will be two. Instead of a lunch, we are going to have "Connection Centers" established to serve all students, faculty, and staff during an identified break time.

Here are the details:

-- Faculty have been asked to have a break on the following schedule: Friday evening WEC classes breaking between 7:45 and 8:15 p.m.; Saturday morning WEC classes breaking between 9:45 and 10:15 a.m.; and Saturday afternoon WEC classes breaking between 2:45 and 3:15 p.m.

-- Connection Centers will be set up at both Nabo (Oren Gateway Center) and Einsteins (Christensen) to encourage greater participation.

-- Friday evening and Saturday afternoon: Make your own strawberry shortcake bar with coffee, lemonade and water.

-- Saturday morning break: Treats including bagels and muffins as well as coffee, tea, water, etc.

-- Costs: None. The cost is being picked up by the WEC Senate and the Augsburg for Adults office.

Students, we trust you will make your way over to a Connection Center during the break. Faculty and staff, we encourage you to be part of Connection Centers, welcoming new and returning students.

I'm hoping to connect with you this coming weekend . . .

Regards,

Dr. Karl G. Wolfe, Interim Director
Adult Undergraduate Studies, Minneapolis Campus
Director, Rochester Campus
