Hands-on Agresso Training - Sept. 13

Did you miss the August 26th Agresso Hands-On training session?

You're in luck! There's another one coming up on Friday, Sept. 13. The training is offered by the Administrative Accounting and Finance office and will discuss how coding deposits and expenses impact your budget, where you are versus budget/outlook, and how to use Agresso web to find out.

We will be in the Sverdrup 201 computer lab between 2-4 p.m.

Remember: This is a hands-on training. You will probe money coming in and going out, so bring your cost center number and questions!

Free Lockers Available for Commuter Students

Campus Activities and Orientation provides free lockers for students (Day, WEC, and Graduate) who commute to campus during the academic year. Lockers are located on the Ground and 2nd Levels of Science Building.

These lockers are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. To request your locker for the academic year, please print out, complete, and sign the form below and turn it into Michael Grewe in Christensen Center Room 1D (located on the ground floor in the "Auggie's Nest").

Influenza & Tdap Vaccination Clinic on Campus

Influenza and Tdap vaccination clinics are scheduled for faculty, staff, and students.

Flu Shots -Homeland Health provides flu vaccinations to patients ages 3 years and up. Please bring your health insurance card to the clinic. We are an in network provider for Medica, BCBS, HealthPartners, Preferred One, UCare, America's PPO, Prime West, South Country Health Care Alliance and Medicare. We will bill your health plan. If you are not covered by one of these health plans, you may purchase a vaccination by cash on the day of the clinic.

Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria & Pertussis "Whooping Cough")
Is available for those 18 to 64 years of age only. It is covered by HealthPartners, BCBS and Medica at the Member's Benefit Level. Sorry we cannot accept other insurance.
The cash price for vaccine is $25 per Flu Injection, $35 per FluMist and $55 per Tdap injection. We accept cash only, no checks please. Individuals are responsible for the cost of their shots, which may vary depending upon insurance plans.

9 a.m. - 12 p.m., September 24, Lindell Library 202

12:30 - 3:30 p.m., September 26, Christensen- Marshall Room

In the bottom right corner of the main image on the Home Page, click the Customer Portal button (Client ID: HAIOY997). At this point Returning Users may sign in. Your email is your user name. If you have any questions, please contact us at 877-746-8060.

A walk-in clinic, will be from 12-2 p.m., October 22, in the Marshall room. Faculty and staff are welcome. Although pre-registration is not necessary, you must present an insurance card to receive the flu shot at no cost (coverage varies depending on member's benefit level). The cost for the flu shot is $29.

Emerging Leaders Program Apps Due Sept. 6

All incoming first-year and transfer students, as well as students who started at Augsburg in spring of 2013, are encouraged to apply for Augsburg College's Emerging Leaders Program (ELP).

ELP is a 10-week beginner/intermediate leadership program for students interested in obtaining leadership positions on campus, including but not limited to Augsburg Seminar Leaders, Bonner Leaders, Orientation Leaders, Residential Advisors, and Student Government.

Students meet for 90 minutes each Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. during fall semester to discuss and to develop their leadership potential around time management, personal strengths, conflict management, group dynamics, intercultural competency, and service learning, among other things.

Applications must be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 6.

Student Financial Services and Registrar's Office are co-located within the Enrollment Center. Together our offices help students navigate the complexity of registering for and paying for college. We are responsible for a myriad of functions that support students and the College. Below is a brief overview:

Student Financial Services
• Stewardship-$68 Million in Financial Aid & $26 Million in Payments, Institutional and External Aid Program Management (Federal Pell Grant, Minnesota State Grant, Federal & Private Student Loan Programs), Financial & Academic Resource Management

Registrar's Office
• Course Scheduling, Transfer Credit Evaluation, Veteran Benefit Certification, Graduation, Course Registration, Grading & Transcripts, Academic Calendar Development, Undergraduate and Graduate Catalog Development, Readmission

Service Philosophy
We provide service in various ways; a robust web presence, electronic communication, and direct student counseling. Students are able to use AugNet Services online 24/7 for billing, financial aid and registration.

We provide targeted seasonal outreach for the first Saturday of each semester, new student orientations, first year appointments, financial aid nights, registration events, housing expo, etc.

This year we will utilize new strategies for service delivery and assess our effectiveness through student surveys.

Service Hours
During the academic year we are available for walk up assistance and same day counseling appointments along with the opportunity to schedule an appointment in advance.

While our staff works during standard college hours to manage our responsibilities, the Enrollment Center provides the following service hours:

Welcome Genesys Works Staff

Augsburg is pleased to welcome Genesys Works AmeriCorps member, Andrea Perla, to campus today. Andrea will spend one day per week at Augsburg helping the 20 enrolled Genesys Works alumni get connected to on campus resources.

Faculty, staff, and especially Genesys Works alumni, are encouraged to stop by the link level of the library to introduce yourselves to Andrea. She will be housed with the College Possible staff near Lindell 202 and across from Academic Advising.
