Public Safety and Facilities Announcements

Minneapolis City Street Parking Restrictions Start TODAY

Starting at 8 a.m. on Thursday, parking will be prohibited on the even sides of non-snow emergency streets in Minneapolis for the next few months.

Minneapolis officials say the winter parking restrictions are necessary because snowbanks are encroaching so far into roads that emergency vehicles could struggle to get through.

If you plan to park on the city streets please visit the city of Minneapolis web site for more resources, including "street look-up" maps of the city with highlighted odd/even sides of streets for your area.
