The Center for Universal Design in Education (UDE) develops and collects Web-based resources to help educators apply universal design to all aspects of the educational experience:
instruction; student services, information technology, and physical spaces. The Center for UDE is directed by DO-IT at the University of Washington and funded by the U.S. Department of Education (grant #P333A050064) and the National Science Foundation (cooperative agreement #HRD-0227995).
- Definition, principles, and processes of universal design and examples of applications in educational settings.
- Specific ways that universal design can enhance the post secondary experience for all students.
- How universal design can increase the inclusion and success of all students, including those with disabilities, at the precollege level.
- How projects, exhibits, and presentations can assure access to all participants, including those with disabilities.
- Materials for learning more about and delivering training on applications of universal design in education.

Glasenapp named MIAC Player of Week

Glasenapp named MIAC Player of Week
http://athletics.augsburg.edu/news/2009/10/19/fb101909.aspx?path=football

MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg College defensive lineman Alex Glasenapp (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Football Co-Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday.

Glasenapp recorded 10 tackles (six solo), including 2.5 sacks, in Augsburg's 27-20 win at Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday. After Augsburg scored in its overtime session, Glasenapp claimed two sacks against Concordia's offense, including a 16-yard sack on fourth-down-and-10 from the Augsburg 11 on the final play of the game.

On the season, Glasenapp leads Augsburg's defensive linemen, while ranking fourth overall among Auggie defenders, with 38 tackles, including six tackles for loss and a team-high three sacks.

The win over Concordia was Augsburg's first at Concordia's Jake Christiansen Stadium in Moorhead since a 13-3 win on Sept. 17, 1994. Augsburg also broke a nine-game losing streak to the Cobbers with the victory, Augsburg's fifth overtime victory in its nine extra-session games since the NCAA introduced overtime in college football in 1996.

Glasenapp shared the weekly MIAC honor with Bethel defensive back David Vavra, who had eight tackles, two interceptions and a fumble recovery in Bethel's 20-17 win over Hamline on Saturday.

Augsburg, now 3-3 overall and 2-2 in MIAC play, will host Gustavus Adolphus College this Saturday (10/24) at 1 p.m. at Edor Nelson Field in Minneapolis.
