Crime Alert- iPod Stolen From Office in Kennedy

Sometime between 4 p.m. on January 17th and 10:30 a.m. on January 19th, an iPod was stolen from a locked office in the Kennedy Center. There were no signs of forced entry.

If you have any information regarding this crime, please contact the Minneapolis Police Department or Augsburg's Department of Public Safety. You can reach DPS all day, every day by dialing 1717 from an on-campus phone or 612-330-1717 from an off-campus phone.

You Can Help Prevent Crime at Augsburg!

- Don’t leave your workspace unlocked and unattended.

- Discuss which spaces in your department are public and which are private. Where possible, lock private spaces if they are not being used. You are not being rude if you ask someone to leave a private space. Hospitality has its limits.

- Be thoughtful of where your valuables are. Where possible, keep wallets, handbags and other valuables on your person or locked in a drawer. Better yet, leave unneeded valuable items at home.

- Always keep your car keys on your person. This is especially important if you have a remote unlocking device for your car. If a thief is able to take the remote unlocking device for your car, they simply need to walk through our parking lots and press the button until they see the lights flash on your vehicle.

- Immediately report suspicious activity to the Minneapolis Police or Augsburg DPS.

If you have questions or concerns regarding crime at Augsburg, please contact John Pack, Director of Public Safety at 612-330-1644 or pack@augsburg.edu.

Staff and Faculty Ultimate Frisbee on Tuesdays

Please join some fellow staff and faculty members each Tuesday, noon-1 under the athletic dome for a pick-up game of ultimate frisbee. What better way to keep in shape and feel like you're outside on a grassy plain than to run around on the sunny, warm athletic field.

We're pretty relaxed athletes (if one could even call us that) at every skill level, so hesitate to join. Hoping to see you there .
