New No Smoking Signs
As stated in the Minnesota Clean Indoor Air Act, smoke-free signs have been put up on the doors around campus indicating that smoking will be prohibited in all indoor public places and indoor places of employment.
Please be respectful of your fellow community members and Augsburg College. If you do smoke move away from the building and please do not litter by throwing your cigarette butts on the ground. If you have any questions about this law please feel free to contact Bruce Bengry Health and Safety Specialist at x1481.

SOAR Showcase
Augsburg departments and organizations are invited to participate in the 2008 SOAR Showcases in July.
The Showcase is an opportunity for First-Year students, parents & family members to learn more about the services and supports offered at Augsburg College while they are here for orientation. It is also an opportunity to get any questions answered that they may have prior to their arrival in the fall.
SOAR Showcases will occur on the first day of each SOAR session, which are July 15, 17, and 18. Table set-up will begin at 3:30 p.m., with parents and students touring the department tables from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
If you would like to reserve a table to the Showcase, please contact me and I will e-mail you a registration form. Table requests need to be submitted by July 8. This will allow us time to put together a map of where your table will be located in the quad during each of the Showcases.
We are excited to have everyone participate and to share information about the incredible programs and support services offered to incoming Auggies! If you know of other departments that would benefit by receiving this invitation, please let me know.

The Enrollment Center will be closing at 3 p.m. today, July 3 and will be closed all day on July 4 for the holiday weekend. Have a wonderful, safe holiday break!

Holiday Hours for Undergraduate Admissions
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will be closing on Thursday, July 3 at 3 p.m. and will also be closed on July 4. The office will reopen Monday, July 7 at 8:30 a.m.
The Welcome Desk in Christensen Center will also be closing at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 3 and be closed on Friday, July 4. The Welcome Desk will also reopen on Monday, July 7 at 8:30 a.m. If you need assistance and the Welcome Desk is closed, please contact the Department of Public Safety at 612-330-1717.
URN/MORT Residence Life Office CLOSED

To celebrate Independence Day, the Events Office will be closed July 4, 5, and 6. Enjoy your weekend!
New Rate for Mileage Reimbursement
Effective July 1, 2008 the mileage reimbursement per mile (per IRS Guidelines) will be $.585 per mile. Travel on or after this date should be calculated using the new rate. Travel Expense Reports can be located in Administrative Accounting Public folder or Science Building, Ste 148.
