Green Fact of the Day

Unplug Things That Glow!
Anything that has an LED (light emitting diode) that glows even after you turn it off continues to draw power (that you pay for). Your TV, cell phone charger, and printer are likely culprits. Unplug the offenders from wall sockets and plug them into power strips instead. When you leave a room, flip the strip switch to cut the flow of electricity.
Good for You: Unplug appliances and electronics that glow, and you could save $200 a year.

General Announcements

Commencement Traffic Alert: 35W Road Closure this Weekend

TRAFFIC ADVISORIES (updated 6/26/08)

Construction Detour on I-35W from Friday, June 27 to Monday, June 30:

The crosstown highway construction project will close I-35W southbound between downtown Minneapolis and Hwy. 62 from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

For those departing Augsburg after the ceremony and needing to go south, detour signs will direct you west on I-394 and then south on Hwy. 100.

For those approaching Augsburg from the north:

Due to the reconstruction of the I-35W bridge, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is making Minnesota Highway 280 the primary route to replace northbound and southbound I-35W traffic. It will carry traffic from I-35W in Roseville to Interstate 94.
Take Minnesota Highway 280 to I-94 Westbound, take Riverside exit, turn right at 25th Avenue and park in the "L" lot adjacent to Edor Nelson Athletic Field. See our campus map for details.
