Join in the First-Annual Campus Beautification Day

Pull on your work boots and roll up your sleeves! It's time to spruce up our campus and neighborhood at the first annual Campus Beautification Day. Faculty and staff are invited to participate in one of three projects.

Want to be outside? Pick up trash along the river or dig into our community garden. Does your own space need some help? Get your team together and fix it up!

Fruit, granola bars, and water coolers will be provided. Bring your own reusable water containers (sippy cup, Nalgene bottle, canteen) and additional snacks if you're planning to burn a lot of calories.

Campus Beautification Day will be Wednesday, June 11, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. After a day of good old-fashioned work, all are invited to attend the staff senate picnic in Murphy Park at 1 p.m.

Learn about the projects and sign up at www.augsburg.edu/marcomm/cbd.

Agresso Systems Offline

Information Technology will be performing an Agresso software upgrade, at which time the Agresso software and the Records and Registration website will be offline from Thursday, June 5 at 10 p.m. until Monday, June 9 at 8 a.m.

This upgrade will result in a few changes to the appearance of the Agresso screens, both for those users who access Agresso directly through the client application, as well as for users who use the web interface. Please note that these screen changes will not affect the appearance of the student web. We have been having some open sessions for people to come and become familiar with these screen changes.
The last open session is today:
Wednesday, June 4, at 12:00 noon in Lindell 15

If you have been unable to attend a demonstration session, you can use these links to follow video demonstrations of the screen changes.

Records and Registration down June 6-8

Due to a software upgrade, the Records and Registration web site will be down from 10 p.m. on Thursday, June 5 until Monday, June 9 at 8 a.m. All Enrollment Center service areas including Financial Aid, Registrar’s Office, Student Accounts and Academic Advising are affected by this upgrade and will have limited service during this time. The Enrollment Center will be open and continue to be able to accept payments and registration forms; however, we will not be able to process any payments or registration changes until Monday, June 9. The Registrar’s Office will continue to be able to process transcript requests and Academic Advising will also continue to take appointments but will not be able to process any registration forms.

Thank you for your patience during this time!

Faculty Help Needed During MPCW

Minnesota Private Week is coming up June 23rd-27th! We expect many prospective students to be visiting campus during this time and we could use some help. Traditionally our Admissions Office hosts 2 progressive tours each day of MPCW (one in the morning & then one in the afternoon), where 4 groups of students and their families tour the college, stopping along the way to learn about the things that make Augsburg unique.

I'm looking for interested faculty to help out during the Augsburg Experience/Academics portion of the tour. Essentially you'd have 15 minutes with each of the 4 groups to talk about your major, the curriculum, and how you feel the core comes to life based upon the educational experience you see your students receiving. You can go in any direction that you may want with this - discussion, slide show, etc.

This is a great opportunity to meet prospective students and have an open forum to talk about your major. Please consider signing up for 1 or more of the following sessions: (Each 1 1/2 hour long session would include four 15 minute presentations with 10 minute breaks in between each presentation)

Monday, June 23 9:55-11:25 a.m. or 2:25-3:55 p.m.
Tuesday, June 24 9:55-11:25 a.m. or 2:25-3:55 p.m.
Wednesday, June 25 9:55-11:25 a.m. or 2:25-3:55 p.m.
Thursday, June 26 9:55-11:25 a.m. or 2:25-3:55 p.m.
Friday, June 27 9:55-11:25 a.m. or 2:25-3:55 p.m.

Please let me know by Wednesday, June 11 if you would be able to help and which days/times will work for you (i.e. Monday morning session, Thursday afternoon session, etc) We would appreciate any coverage you could provide. Please let me know if you have any questions (bertok@augsburg.edu, x1577)
