Subject: Security Alert - Vehicle Stolen Tennis Court Lot

Submitter:
John Pack, Director, Public Safety

Message: A vehicle has been reported stolen from the Tennis Court Parking Lot (Lot D on the campus map). The vehicle, a 1988 silver and blue Dodge Dakota, was last seen at approximately 10 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20.

If you have any information regarding this incident, please contact the Minneapolis Police Department or Augsburg’s Department of Public Safety. You can reach the Department of Public Safety all day, every day, by calling x1717 from an on-campus phone or 612-330-1717 from an off-campus phone.

You can reduce your chances of having your car stolen by doing the following:
- Never leave your car running unattended, even to dash into a business, store, etc.
- Never leave any keys in the car or ignition, inside a locked garage, or in hide-a-key boxes.
- Always roll up your windows and lock the car, even if it is parked in front of your home.
- Never leave valuables in plain view, even if your car is locked.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this or other public safety issues, please feel free to contact John Pack, Director of Public Safety, at 612-330-1644 or by email at pack@augsburg.edu.
