Subject: Immunization Holds
Submitter:
Wayne Kallestad, Registrar, Registrar's Office

Message: Minnesota law requires students be immunized against certain diseases and one of them within the past 10 years. In support of this requirement and for the general protection of the student population, immunization holds (which prevent future registration) have been placed on many student records. Please log into AugNet Records and Registration to check the status of any holds on your record. Note there are other holds that may appear such as from the Student Accounts Office. The very first welcome screen upon signing into Records and Registration will display any holds prominently. If you do have an immunization hold, please download an Immunization Form from the Registrar web page at http://www.augsburg.edu/enroll/registrar/index.html. Click on Download Registrar Forms and then Immunization Form. Day students please return the completed form to the Registrar Office at CB 71.

WEC/Grad students please return the form to the WEC Admissions Office at CB 65 or fax to (612) 330-1784. Please attend to this requirement as soon as possible. Unsigned forms or forms with missing date or out of date Diphtheria & Tetanus vaccinations will result in the hold remaining on your record.

Subject: Paint it Pretty or Rock the River Saturday Morn!
Submitter:
Timothy Dougherty, Community and Civic Engagement Student Coordinator, Center for Service Work and Learning

Message: As part of President Pribbenow's inaugural celebration, we will be engaging in service projects for the neighborhood on Saturday morning from 9-12 noon. There are two options for your time and talents:

1. The East African Women's Center - A project of the Confederation of Somali Community in Minnesota, this center provides East African women with culturally sensitive programming to support them as they integrate into American culture while retaining their sense of identity and belief. Ten interested volunteers will be painting, varnishing, and helping to spruce up this excellent community partner's facility in the Riverside Plaza.

2. Mississippi River Clean-Up - Most of us are unaware that Augsburg College is the steward for the stretch of river from Bohemian Flats to the I-94 bridge on the West Bank. Join us to clear litter and debris as we hear a bit of the river's history from Professor Joe Underhill-Cady. Be sure to bundle up as we take care of one of our neighborhood's most treasured resources.

We'll meet at 9 a.m. in the Christensen Center lobby for a continental breakfast to fuel our efforts.

If interested in serving with us, please send an email to Mary Laurel True at truem@augsburg.edu or Tim Dougherty at doughert@augsburg.edu by 2 p.m. on Friday. Call X1208 or X1775 with questions.
