THE ONLINE PARKING SYSTEM IS CURRENTLY DOWN

We are having some unexpected problems with our online parking system (ParkAdmin). The site is temporarily down and we do not have a projected time for when it will be functional. You may check the website (augsburg.parkadmin.com) at your convenience and use it as soon as it is operational. The other option is to print off the form below, fill it out, and return it to Public Safety Dispatch in order to receive your permit(s). This form will serve as your "registration" but must be fully completed and legible in order to qualify you for a parking permit. Once the online system is operational again, Dispatch will no longer accept paper forms. Please call Dispatch at x1717 with questions.

If you have not completed the online registration, please stop by the Department of Public Safety and pick up a registration form OR print off the form below. Fill out the form and bring it to Spring parking permit sales in the Enrollment Center (see complete permit sale info below). SPRING SEMESTER '05 - '06

PERMIT PRICES:
Resident and Commuter permits will be $110 for Spring semester, with full amount due at registration.

New Hall Underground permits will be $360 for Spring semester, with full amount due at registration.

Minneapolis City Street permits will be $25 for one academic year, with full amount due at the time permit is picked up from the City of Minneapolis.

ONLINE PARKING REGISTRATION:
This year our parking system is online. Every student, faculty, and staff member at the college must use the online system. All students interested in a Spring semester permit may register online beginning Monday, December 12th. If you do not register online before the time permits are sold, you are not eligible for a permit. However, completing the registration does not guarantee you a permit at this time; permits will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.

TO PAY FOR AND PICK UP YOUR PERMIT:
To pick up a permit, you must have completed the online registration in advance. On Thursday, January 19th, please come to the Enrollment Center in Sverdrup Hall to pick up a permit between the hours of 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. If there are any permits left, they will be sold Friday, January 20th from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. To get a permit, you must bring a form of payment (check, cash, or credit card), a photo ID, and proof of ownership of your vehicle. The only forms of proof of ownership we will accept are license tab renewal forms or vehicle registration. Please call x1717 if you need additional directions to the Enrollment Center.

MINNEAPOLIS CITY STREET PERMITS:
City street permits are the only permits students may purchase without using the online system. Only Augsburg College resident students will be eligible for Minneapolis City street permits.

To obtain a City street permit, please to the Enrollment Center in Sverdrup on Thursday, January 19th between the hours of 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. to pick up a letter of residency that will make you eligible for a Minneapolis City street permit. If there are any permits left, letters of residency will also be given out Friday, January 20th from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The letter of residency will allow you to purchase a permit from the City of Minneapolis. Available letters of residency will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. You will need to bring a photo ID when you come to pick up your letter. Please call x1717 if you need additional directions to the Enrollment Center. Please remember you can only purchase an Augsburg permit OR a City permit ö not both.

USING THE ONLINE SYSTEM:
Open your web browser and go to: augsburg.parkadmin.com. Do NOT type in www or http or the site will not open.

ðOn this page, click on the "Create New Account" button, then fill out the registration information and follow the prompts on each page.

ðOne of the steps during registration will be retrieving a password from the e-mail account you provide during registration, then using that password to log back in to the parking system.

ðOnce you log back in, you will go to the "Vehicles" link at the top of the page and fill in the appropriate information. You may register only one vehicle.

ðNext, go to the "Parking" link at the top of the page and read through Augsburg's parking regulations. Once you agree to Augsburg's parking regulations, you will register a parking permit. Ignore the map displayed on the next page - it is not an Augsburg map. Click on the correct student link (commuter, resident, or New Hall) on the right side of the page and proceed through to the payment page.

ðOn the payment page, click the "purchase this permit" button. A screen will pop up and show you your final order. Now you've completed the online registration!

OTHER FAQs:

A: All campus lots will be monitored through January 20th, and ticketing will begin on January 21st at 8 a.m.

Message: January 18

Dear Colleagues,

The much awaited course evaluations should arrive by e mail on Wednesday. As a committee we have already had a look at ours and would like to pass along some of our observations:

ð There is a great deal of material coming to you. Don't let this overwhelm you. In the past the information we received took only a few minutes to digest. This information will take a good deal longer and it was our experience, each time we looked at the report we found something we had previously missed.

ð This is not the final form of the evaluation. We would like input from you about ways to tweak the form so the information will be even more helpful.

ð If you are like most of us, you may focus on negative comments, ignoring what is going well. Be careful to look at the course evaluations as opportunities for growth and as snapshots of your fall classes.

Subject: Johnson named MIAC Player of Week
Submitter:
Donald W Stoner, Sports Information Coordinator, Public Relations and Communication

Message: Augsburg's Aaron Johnson named MIAC Men's Hockey Player of the Week
http://www.augsburg.edu/athletics/sportsnews/011606johnson.html

MINNEAPOLIS (1/16/06) -- Augsburg College men's hockey forward Aaron Johnson (Jr., Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Hockey Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday.

Johnson had a seven-point (two goals, five assists) weekend as Augsburg went 1-1 against Northern Collegiate Hockey Association opponents in nonconference action. Johnson now has a team-high 27 points (seven goals, 20 assists) this season. His assist and point totals currently lead the MIAC in overall play, and he is currently ranked seventh nationally among Division III players in points per game (1.80) and third in assists per game (1.33).

In Augsburg's 7-4 win at Wisconsin-Superior on Friday, Johnson collected six points (two goals, four assists), one point shy of the single-game school record of seven. The six points were the most for an Auggie in a single game since the 2000-01 season. His two goals came as part of a four-goal third-period outburst for the Auggies in the victory. In Saturday's 5-3 loss at St. Scholastica, Johnson had an assist on a power-play goal in the second period.

In two seasons of hockey at Augsburg (40 games), Johnson has compiled 17 goals and 45 assists for 62 points. He transferred to Augsburg after playing his first season (five games) at Division I Michigan Tech. Johnson earned All-MIAC first-team honors last season, after leading the league in assists (20 in conference games) and leading the team in overall scoring (10 goals, 25 assists, 35 points). His 25 assists were ninth-best nationally among Division III players last season.

Augsburg, now 6-6-3 overall (2-1-3 in MIAC play), returns to conference action with a two-game series against Bethel University this weekend. The Auggies host Bethel on Friday (1/20) at 7 p.m. at the Augsburg Ice Arena, and face the Royals on the road at Columbia Arena in Fridley, Minn., on Saturday (1/21) at 7 p.m.

Subject: Schlieman named HM FB Gazette All-American
Submitter:
Donald W Stoner, Sports Information Coordinator, Public Relations and Communication

Message: Augsburg's Nick Schlieman named Football Gazette All-America honorable mention
http://www.augsburg.edu/athletics/sportsnews/011606schlieman.html

MINNEAPOLIS (1/16/06) -- Augsburg College football punter Nick Schlieman (Sr., Burnsville, Minn.) was named to the 2005 Don Hansen's Football Gazette NCAA Division III All-America Team as an honorable-mention selection, it has been announced.

The award continues a postseason of honors for Schlieman. He was named to the D3football.com All-West Region team as a first-team selection and to the D3football.com All-America team as an honorable-mention selection in December. He also earned first-team All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors in November.

In its first season under head coach Frank Haege, Augsburg finished 1-9 overall, 1-7 in MIAC play in 2005.

Schlieman, the lone punter in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference to average 38.0 yards or more per punt each of the last four seasons, led the MIAC in both overall (41.4 yards per punt) and conference-only (40.7 yards per punt) punting in 2005. Schlieman finished ranked seventh nationally among NCAA Division III players in overall punting average (41.4). As a team, Augsburg ranked first nationally in team net punting average (punt yardage minus return yards/touchbacks) with a 37.68 average.

Of his 56 punts this season, Schlieman had 26 punts of 40-49 yards, four punts of 50-59 yards and a season-long punt of 68 yards, against just two touchbacks and three fair catches. He placed 15 of his punts inside the opponent 20-yard line. In his career, Schlieman averaged 40.1 yards per punt (222 punts, 8,900 yards), with 77 punts of 40-49 yards, 28 punts of 50-59 yards and seven punts of 60 yards or better, including a school-record 74-yarder in the 2003 season. As the Auggies' field-goal kicker this season, he was 6-for-14 with a long of 46 yards.

In 2003, Schlieman was a Football Gazette All-West Region third-team selection and a D3football.com All-America honorable-mention selection. He earned All-MIAC honors all four years of his career, earning first-team honors in 2002, 2003 and 2005, while earning second-team honors in 2004.
