E-Mentor 7th Grade AVID students

Augsburg and Battle Creek Middle School in St. Paul have teamed up to create an e-mentor program between current Auggies and 7th grade AVID students. I'm currently in need of a few more Augsburg students to volunteer to be e-mentors.

Each e-mentor must commit to email their e-mentee at least 1x per month (Dec. 2012-May 2013) and agree not to share personal information such as phone number/address, etc. Our hope is that you'll talk about your high school and college experiences, and share advice you have for the 7th grader to stay on track for college.

We'll be starting the e-mentoring with a kick-off at Augsburg on the morning of Monday, December 3, during which time you'll have an opportunity to meet your mentee in person. (Participation in the kick-off is not a requirement - but it is encouraged). Email exchanges will begin shortly after the kick off.

Please contact Janet Morales (moralesj@augsburg.edu or ext. 1792) if you are interested in participating or if you have questions.
