General Announcements

Graduate Programs Information Night a Success

The Graduate Admissions team recently hosted its annual Graduate Programs Information Night (aka: Discovery Night, June 22nd). Approximately 25 prospective students enjoyed dinner and an Auggie trivia contest with staff and faculty. Mary Laurel True addressed the audience and articulated how graduate students at Augsburg live out the community engagement and service-learning piece of the Augsburg experience. Mary is the Augsburg Director for Service-Learning and Community Engagement within the Sabo Center for Citizenship and Learning.

Mary did a fantastic job of tying the recent Presidential Award for Service Learning and Community Service in with how Augsburg takes a unique approach to educating all its students, in particular, the graduate adult students.

The faculty and staff in attendance joined the admissions team in providing each guest with an informative, personalized, and interactive experience.

The A'viands staff prepared an affordable and extremely tasty spread while Sam, our musician for the evening, provided some classy tunes for the pre-meal registration.

Grade Due Dates

Spring Rochester grades are due Friday, 1 Jul.
Spring WEC/Grad grades are due Wednesday, 6 Jul.
SSI grades are due Monday, 11 Jul.

Grading information can be found through the following link:
http://www.augsburg.edu/registrar/gradeentry.html

Timely grade submission is important to our students. Most of our WEC and Grad students are on company reimbursement and work under time lines for submitting their tuition claim (which requires a grade for the course). Many of our Day students are dependent on scholarships which require graded coursework for continuance or for application for new monies. Thank you for your efforts to support our students.
