Hotline Correction: Road Construction Impacts

*The original construction hotline number given was incorrect. Please see below for correct number.

Road construction projects in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood will affect access to the Minneapolis campus this summer. Augsburg College students, employees, and visitors should plan extra time for travel and be prepared for delays getting to and from campus.

The first project, resurfacing of 25th Ave. S., started last night at 7 p.m. and is scheduled to finish at midnight, Thursday, June 30.

The second project will start some time after the 4th of July holiday and will result in the closure of Riverside Ave. from 23rd Ave. S. to Franklin Ave. for the duration of the 2011 construction season. An email will be sent when the City of Minneapolis confirms the official start date for this project.

See the June 27 Inside Augsburg story for details about these two projects as well as links to recommended driving and parking instructions: http://augnet.augsburg.edu/news-archives/2011/06_27_11/construction_627.html

Alternate transportation options include light rail and bus lines (http://www.metrotransit.org/) and discount passes are available through the enrollment center. The campus has a Nice Ride Minnesota bike station that can be used for those who wish to commute by bike (https://www.niceridemn.org/). In addition, the college has a telecommuting policy that may be worth exploring with your supervisor.
