Crime Alert: Vehicle Stolen From Lot B
On Monday, November 22, 2010, a student reported their vehicle stolen from Lot B, the parking lot between the Urness/Mortenson towers and the freeway sound wall. The vehicle, a red Accura, was parked at approximately 6:00 pm on 11/21. The vehicle was discovered missing at approximately 3:45 pm on 11/22.
If you have any information regarding this crime, please contact the Minneapolis Police Department or Augsburg's Department of Public Safety. You can reach DPS all day, every day by dialing 1717 from an on-campus phone or 612-330-1717 from an off-campus phone.
You Can Help Prevent Crime at Augsburg!
Never leave your keys in your car.
Never leave your vehicle unattended with the engine running.
Always keep your car keys on your person. This is especially important if you have a remote unlocking device for your car. If a thief is able to take the remote unlocking device for your car, they simply need to walk through our parking lots and press the button until they see the lights flash on your vehicle.
Dont leave valuable visible in your vehicle. Where possible, move them to the trunk before you arrive at your destination. Better yet, leave valuables at home.
Immediately report suspicious activity to the Minneapolis Police or Augsburg DPS.
