Public Safety and Facilities Announcements

Confidential Document Shredding

In preparation for the upcoming school year, many departments are cleaning out old files. Any documents that are non-confidential can be placed in recycling containers located in hallways of each building. However, many of you have documents that are confidential and need to be shredded.

The Facilities Department is scheduling a document shredding company to be on campus the morning of Wednesday, August 25th. If you have any confidential materials that you wish to be shredded at that time, please box them up and mark the boxes ‘to be shredded’. Then, send an email to adamsth@augsburg.edu no later than Monday, August 23rd, and I will make arrangements for our staff to pick up these boxes from your office before the shredding company arrives. If you have any questions, please email me or call x1566.

Cake with Caryn--Stanford Bound

URGO invites all faculty, staff and students who have had the pleasure of working with Caryn Quist, Administrative Assistant to URGO, to stop by for cake from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, August 11 in Science 116, the URGO/McNair Suite.

Caryn's work with URGO started when she was a summer researcher studying Orchid propagation after her sophomore year of study, followed by two years as a work study student and this past year as a full-time administrative assistant. She has greatly improved the quality of communication, events and services provided by URGO during her time here. We will miss her rare combination of high intellect, stellar organizational skills, delightful personality, passion for educational opportunity and open concern for others.

Caryn leaves this month for Stanford where she will be pursuing a master's degree in environmental science in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

Best,
Dixie Shafer
