A chance to see immigrant youth perform at this year's fringe festival.

ANIGA ADIGA (Me and You) A New Look into the Immigrant Experience

Collaboratively created by the Cedar Riverside Art Zone for Youth
(C.R.A.Z.Y.) and directed by John Francis Bueche for the Fringe Fest

This what its like to be young and East African in Minnesota. Really.
There's a group of us, and we've been getting together at Bedlam to turn our
experiences into something on stage. There are sketches, monologues,
poetry, and maybe a talking camel and its all about what its like to be
us, in a city of different cultures and lots of stereotypes.

Where? Just around the corner from Bedlam at MIXED BLOOD THEATRE 1501 S.
4th Street. For ticket info visit www.fringefestival.org/2010/tickets

Monday, August 9th 7:00 PM

Thursday, August 12th 7:00 PM

Sunday, August 15th 2:30 PM

C.R.A.Z.Y. is funded in part by the Minnesota State Arts Board, the Irwin
Andrew Porter Foundation, the Carolyn Foundation, the Marbrook Foundation,
Compas, 3M Innovation in the Arts Award, the Nash Foundation, the Beim

Hour Car News

Coming Soon: A New & Improved Reservation Site

Upgraded reservation site will make it easier to see available cars and will provide an estimated cost for every reservation.

Coming in August, HOURCAR's secure website will be upgraded. The estimated cost of each reservation will be displayed before you confirm the reservation, allowing you to more easily anticipate your HOURCAR costs and to be sure that you're reserving a daily rate car for your longer reservations.

The improved site will also make it easier to see which cars are available during a given time period and allow you to indicate that your reservation times are flexible, allowing you to see which cars are available if you shift your desired reservation times.

Another Technical Upgrade

HOURCARs will now be limited to those members who have a reservation.

In order to help ensure that your reserved HOURCAR will be ready for you, HOURCARs will only admit members who have a reservation. This improvement will help prevent another member from taking the car you have reserved and it will protect you from inadvertently taking a car you shouldn't.

HOURCAR's system will alert cars as reservations are made throughout the day to ensure that your reserved car is ready to let you in, but occasionally you may attempt to fob in before the car has been notified of your reservation. When this happens, the vehicle's technology will "check in" with the reservation system to confirm that you're an authorized user. The light on the fob reader will blink very quickly while the car checks on your reservation. If you see this "fast blink" please be patient while the car makes sure you are an authorized user. If you have a reservation, the car will let you in within approximately 30 seconds.

For those accustomed to occasionally retrieving items left in an HOURCAR in the days following a reservation, please note that this upgrade will prevent you from accessing a car if you don't have a reservation. If you need to collect a left item, please make a 30 minute reservation on the car in which your belongings were left. If you're just picking up a left item, let us know and we will waive the charge for the reservation.

Grades for Summer II and III

SSII and SSIII grades are due Thursday, 19 Aug.

SSII Online grades are due Friday, 27 Aug.

Grading information can be found through the following link:
http://www.augsburg.edu/enroll/registrar/faculty/index.html
click on Faculty Information, then click on Grade Entry Guidelines.

Timely grade submission is important to our students. Most of our WEC and Grad students are on company reimbursement and work under time lines for submitting their tuition claim (which requires a grade for the course). Many of our Day students are dependent on scholarships which require graded coursework for continuance or for application for new monies. Thank you for your efforts to support our students.
