Online 2010-2011 Catalog Now Available

As one of the many green initiatives on campus, we are encouraging students, faculty and staff to use an electronic version of the college catalog. The undergraduate catalog is online in PDF format at www.augsburg.edu/catalog/2010_2011.pdf or under "catalog" on the A to Z Index. The online catalog is indexed and can be searched. New students will be given a copy of the online catalog on a flash drive at orientation. We hope that this will fulfill the needs of nearly everyone on campus.

However, we understand that there may be catalog needs that are not met by the online version, and would like to give you the opportunity to purchase a paper copy(ies) for you, or your department. The new format will be 8 1/2" x 11" in a spiral binding. We will gather all requests for catalogs in July and place a single order to reduce cost. The price of these initial copies will be under $10 each. After that, single copies can be requested from the Copy Center at a cost of approximately $12 each (comb binding or three-hole punched).

If you wish to order a paper catalog, please e-mail keck@augsburg.edu by July 23, 2010. Include your name, your department, your cost center, and the number of catalogs you request. Your catalog will arrive shortly after the end of July. Thank you for your kind attention to this detail.

iTerm: Now Open to ALL Students

Augsburg's innovative course, iTerm: Fate of the Earth 101, is now, by popular demand, OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS! We'd love for you to join us.

Here's the quick overview of what to expect:

Creative course delivery! Guest speakers! Film series! Off-site experiences! Students and professors learn from each other, choosing the books and designing the curriculum together. Final projects address real life problems and are presented to people who can make a difference.

The iTerm counts for 3 out of 4 academic credits for the student's entire semester. Rather than traditional grades, professors provide students with a narrative evaluation.

The iTerm (Integrated Term) offers the following credits:

HIS 101 (Humanities LAF, if needed)
SOC 121 (Social/Behavioral Sciences LAF, if needed)
ENL 101, 111 or 220 (depending on need)

Questions? Contact any of the iTerm professors for more information:
