Global Classrooms Summer Internship - Apply Now

Summary of the Program:
Global Classrooms is an exciting, hands-on education program serving 7-12th grade students in Minneapolis / St. Paul Public Schools. Students learn about the United Nations, and build skills in research, writing, public speaking and negotiation. The classroom learning culminates in a Model UN
Conference, where students role-play member states to address pressing international issues.

Summary of Position:
The Global Classrooms Intern will assist the organization with updating the UNA-MN Global Classrooms Curriculum and supplementary materials for classroom use. The intern will also assist in the preparation of program materials and background guides for the 2010-2011 school year.

Qualifications:
• Good understanding of the United Nations and/or Model UN
• Computer experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong writing skills

Fulbright Student Program Competition - Open Now

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program Competition is now open!

For more than 60 years, the federal government-sponsored Fulbright U.S. Student Program has provided future American leaders with an unparalleled opportunity to study, conduct research, and teach in other countries.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards over 1,500 grants annually and currently operates in more than 140 countries worldwide. Fulbright English Teaching Assistantships are now available to over 50 countries. Fulbright grants provide funding for round-trip travel, maintenance for one academic year, health and accident coverage and may also provide full or partial tuition.

First Wednesday Gathering

Please join us for First Wednesday Gathering on Wednesday, June 2, in the East Commons from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

The security and custodial night shift employees are also invited to the Wednesday Evening Gathering at 8 p.m. in the Augsburg Room (please note the CHANGE IN LOCATION).

The first-Wednesday-of-the-month gatherings support our commitment to building community and practicing common work. They are an opportunity to get to know one another, exchange ideas, and collaborate in new ways. We hope you will invite your colleagues and plan to join us!

The Augsburg football team completed its three-day trip to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, with a 59-20 victory over the East Side Eagles, a local adult club team, on Saturday afternoon.
