• A famously scenic train ride to the fjord village of Flåm and a cruise on the Aurlands and Naeroy Fjords
• Two nights in picturesque and historic Bergen on Norway's west coast

Auditions for St. Joan of the Stockyards

The Augsburg Theatre Arts Department will hold auditions for the spring Mainstage show, St. Joan of the Stockyards on Friday January 15 from 3:30-6:45 and Saturday January 16th from 10:30-12:00. Callbacks will be held Saturday from 12:30 - 4:00.

St. Joan of the Stockyards was written by Bertolt Brecht and will be guest directed by Vladimir Rovinsky.

St. Joan of the Stockyards is a cautionary tale for the 21st century. The survival of youth, hope and faith in a world of greed and corruption hang in the balance. The play follows the central character, Joan, as she transitions from being a religious leader urging the poor to look to heaven for their rewards, into a striking worker demanding justice through force. With his barbed wit, Brecht exposes the inner working of the unregulated free enterprise system, which i free to inflict misery on the masses in the pursuit of and in the name of the almighty dollar.

Sign up for auditions on the Tjornhom-Nelson Theater doors.
Contact stage manager Sam Lavell lavell@augsburg.edu with questions or concerns.
