Twins, Saints, and Comedy Club Tickets

Hello Augsburg Community,

I am currently a graduate student at Augsburg College and am looking for some Auggie support! I will be holding a drawing for (4) Twins Tickets, (4) Saints Tickets, and (10!!) tickets to Rick Bronson's House of Comedy in the Mall of America.

All you need to do to win is make at least a $10 donation to the Children's tumor Foundation as a sponsorship to my ambitions at taking on the Twin Cities Marathon and finding a cure for Neurofibromatosis. You can do so at http://www.active.com/donate/nftwincities2009/arachelontherun. So far there are very few Minnesota donors, so your chances are high!!

Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow along the nerves in the body. It causes blindness, hearing loss, physical deformities, learning disabilities, and sometimes cancer. Unfortunately, my uncle and grandmother had a severe form of NF that caused cancer and I lost both of them. I will be running 26.2 miles in honor of them and to help find a cure so that other families don't have to experience the same loss.

If you prefer to donate somewhere other than online, please contact me at heiman@augsburg.edu. I can send you a mail-in form. Donations must be received by Aug. 5 to get into the drawing :-)

Thank you so much for your support. Together we can find a cure.

Rachel
