Faculty/Staff Parking Permit Sales Aug. 3, 8:30 a.m.

Regular Faculty/Staff parking permits sales will open August 3rd at 8:30 a.m.

Those fully registered for a permit by August 17 will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a FREE permit.

Prices: Based on Human Resources FTE (0.0- .25 FTE: $12.00 per month, .26- .50 FTE: $24.00 per month, .51- .74 FTE: $35.50 per month, .75-1.0 FTE: 47.75 per month.)

Please register online through Augnet's Parking Services. Update any profile and vehicle information as necessary and then select the type of permit you want to purchase (Whole Year or Fall Only). Select your payment option and continue through the process until you receive a confirmation page after selecting and entering in your payment information.
If you select Payroll Deduction as your payment option, please make sure to continue fully through the process. A payroll deduction form should pop up on your screen through Adobe, please print and fill it out completely.

2 business days after your online purchase, stop by Public Safety dispatch with your payroll deduction form and a photo ID to pick up your new permit. Public Safety will have Payroll Deduction forms available if you are unable to print it at your convenience.


**Underground permits will not be available to Fac/Staff until August 28 at 8:30 a.m.
If you plan to purchase an underground permit, do NOT register for a regular Fac/Staff permit.
Underground parking prices:
Luther Hall $90 a month (regardless of FTE)
Oren Gateway: $100 a month (regardless of FTE)

Financial Management Workshop

During these difficult times, each of us needs skills and knowledge to manage our financial situation. Employment Services and ACTC Human Resources Officers are working with Principal Financial Group to deliver valuable workshops for all members of Augsburg and ACTC communities. This 90 minute workshop will provide you with sound financial information and help you identify your goals and make wise decisions to improve your financial situation.

Workshop Objectives:
-You will better understand your financial objectives and create your goals
-You will be able to make informed decisions regarding your financial situation
-You will have the skills to take the next steps to reach your financial goals

Workshop materials:
-A workbook that is designed to help you apply what you learn to your specific situation. This book reinforces the workshop's major points and will be a valuable resource for you.
-Workshop slides with informative graphics to make it easy for you to follow the presentation.

Sad News about a Former Student

Zoya Sulzen, recently a student at Augsburg, died this week. Her parents contacted the college and wanted the community to know. Services were held July 30.

Special Dining Hours on Saturday

Due to Augsburg College welcoming the Page Education Foundation on Saturday, August 1, the Christensen Center Dining Commons will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Lunch service in the cafeteria will begin at 12:15pm. Auggie Night at Canterbury Park

Augsburg students, faculty and staff are invited to join President Pribbenow for our annual Augsburg Night at Canterbury Park on Thursday, August 6. Guests receive free admission and a private reception in the Ubetcha Bar and Grill along with a complimentary buffet dinner and premier seating. Bonner Program Applications

Bonner Leader Program applications can be picked up at the Center for Service, Work & Learning in Anderson Hall or at the Welcome Desk in Christensen Center. Applications are due by August 4, 2009 to the CSWL. Incoming first year students that are applying for the program can drop their applications off at the CSWL or at our campus mailbox, #310.

The Bonner program is a service-based scholarship that provides students work-study jobs in the community. At the heart of the program is a desire to promote student leadership by allowing students to engage in their communities through meaningful work. Students engage in enrichment activities and reflective sessions while working to learn from their experiences.

Requirements of the Bonner Leaders Program:
-Must be eligible for off-campus federal work study funds through awarded financial aid
-2-year commitment to working in the community and participating in the Bonner Leaders program on campus
-Ability to work 10-12 hours a week with community partners
-Participation in engagement opportunities and leadership development activities in the community or on campus

Being a Bonner Leader Means:
-Learning to work with diverse groups of people
-Strengthening communities through leadership and service
-Organizing campus and community wide engagement projects
-Belonging to a community of peers dedicated to making a difference
-Experiencing leadership development and opportunities

Each year, 15-18 Bonner Leaders are admitted to the program.
