General Announcements

Senior Reading with Murphy Square

The English Department and Murphy Square will have an "open book reading" April 17. We created an event where Augsburg students can share their writings with family, faculty and friends.

The reading will take place April 17 at 6:30 PM in the Lindell Library 3rd floor and will be followed with a reception, including dessert and thoughtful conversation. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us or any of the professors in the English department.

Please reply to Amanda, Sam or your English professor if you would like to read some of your work as soon as possible!

Sverdrup Lecture Program Events - April 13 - 14

This year's Sverdrup Lecture is Dr. Stephen Schneider, Professor for Interdisciplinary Environmental Studies, Professor of Biological Sciences, and a Senior Fellow in the Woods Institute for the Environment at Stanford University. Dr. Schneider is the founder and editor of Climatic Change. He will be presenting:

Keeping Track of Auggies

Dan Jorgensen at the Rochester Writers Festival

English Professor Dan Jorgensen will be the Keynote Speaker and lead a workshop at the 1st Annual Rochester Writers Festival on April 18th. His keynote is titled "Storytelling: Fiction, Fact, Frustration and Fun!" Professor Jorgensen's workshop for journalistic writing is titled "How to Write Right, The Journalistic Way."

Auggie Awards Coming on Sunday

The second annual Auggie Awards will be held on Sunday, April 19 at 5 p.m. at the Christensen Center. It's an event where the entire Augsburg College athletic department comes together to hold a formal awards gala to honor the achievement of Auggie student-athletes.

Interested in stimulating the economy on tax day??? If so, I have two tickets to the Twin's game. The seats are located in the upper deck 3rd row just right of home plate. The face value of the tickets are $25.
