Please be respectful of your fellow community members and Augsburg College. If you do smoke, move away from the building and please do not litter by throwing your cigarette butts on the ground. General Announcements

Eighth Annual Music for Social Change

Music For Social Change is a day of singing, songwriting, and fun. For eight years, Advocating Change Together has hosted this musical event, bringing together self-advocates, consumers, and allies to sing songs from civil rights movements and create new songs to capture the spirit of the disability rights movement.

The purpose of this workshop is to expand the use of music in our work, promote disability as a civil rights struggle, and celebrate our ability to create a more just society.

Musicians Larry Dittberner, Sherry Minnick, Maria Brown, and Vern Bloom have experience singing with groups and including everyone in the singing and activities.

The workshop is free. Lunch is provided.

SOAR Showcase -- DEADLINE TODAY

Augsburg departments and organizations are invited to participate in the 2008 SOAR Showcases in July.

The Showcase is an opportunity for First-Year students, parents & family members to learn more about the services and supports offered at Augsburg College while they are here for orientation. It is also an opportunity to get any questions answered that they may have prior to their arrival in the fall.

SOAR Showcases will occur on the first day of each SOAR session, which are July 15, 17, and 18. Table set-up in the quad will begin at 3:30 p.m., with parents and students touring the department tables from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

If you would like to reserve a table to the Showcase, please contact me and I will e-mail you a registration form. Table requests need to be submitted by July 8 -- TODAY! This will allow us time to put together a map of where your table will be located in the quad during each of the Showcases.

We are excited to have everyone participate and to share information about the incredible programs and support services offered to incoming Auggies! If you know of other departments that would benefit by receiving this invitation, please let me know.

Any questions, please call me at 612-330-1353 or send me an e-mail at lundr@augsburg.edu.

See you at the SOAR Showcase!
