Promotion of Matt Schornstein

I am pleased to announce the promotion of Matt Schornstein to the position of Assistant Director, IT Systems, effective August 1. In this new role, Matt will oversee systems and IT projects that improve administration and will assist Brad Christ (Director of IT Systems) in the management of our complex and growing IT infrastructure.

Matt began his IT career as a student worker in 2001 and accepted a full-time position as Administrative LFC upon his graduation from Augsburg in 2004. In his new role, Matt will draw on the reputation and trust he has built within IT and across the college for thoughtfully navigating the dynamics of people, processes, and technology to improve our work.

Please join me in congratulating Matt on this important promotion.

Test Proctoring Opportunities

During the summer, the CLASS office proctors course exams for students with disabilities. In order to continue providing this accommodation during the summer months, we are seeking additional assistance from students that may be on campus or live nearby who are eligible for summer work study employment.

Holiday Hours for Undergraduate Admissions

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will be closing on Thursday, July 3 at 3 p.m. and will also be closed on July 4. The office will reopen Monday, July 7 at 8:30 a.m.

The Welcome Desk in Christensen Center will also be closing at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 3 and be closed on Friday, July 4. The Welcome Desk will also reopen on Monday, July 7 at 8:30 a.m. If you need assistance and the Welcome Desk is closed, please contact the Department of Public Safety at 612-330-1717.
