Rochester Campus Graduates

Graduation events are shaping up. We look forward with anticipation to the activities. Our Rochester Baccalaureate and Honors Convocation will be on Thursday evening, June 19. If you are graduating this spring, we hope that you can join the Augsburg Rochester Community that evening as we honor your accomplishments. Please plan to invite any family members and guests that you would like to join you in celebration. Classes that evening will all dismiss at 6:45 for the service that starts at 7:00. A cake reception will follow the service.

If you applied for graduation in time to participate in commencement events last year in 2007 but did not, please contact us in the office right away. We want to make sure to have your name listed in the 2008 Rochester activities. If you have not received email or postal correspondence for graduation events from the Rochester office and you are participating in commencement this year, please contact the office right away.

The list of those riding up on the bus to graduation is growing. The bus company moved the deadline for numbers ahead one week earlier than last year. If you could let us know whether you and your guests plan to ride the bus up to commencement by this Thursday, that would be of help to the office.

Agresso Screen Changes

Information Technology has performed an upgrade of the Agresso systems. This upgrade has resulted in a few changes to the appearance of the Agresso screens, both for those users who access Agresso directly through the client application, as well as for users who use the web interface. Please note that these screen changes will not affect the appearance of the student web. You can use these links to follow video demonstrations of the screen changes:

Free Compact Fluorescent Bulb Recycling at Menards

Announcing a new FREE and convenient CFL recycling program that will launch Monday, June 9 at Menards stores statewide!

The Center for Energy and Environment, creators of the Minnesota Energy Challenge, has joined Great River Energy and its 28 member cooperatives to offer CFL recycling at no charge to Minnesota residents. You can now drop off expired CFLs at the service desk of any of the 36 Menards home improvement stores located in Minnesota.

Compact fluorescent lights (CFL) reduce energy costs and last up to 10 times longer than standard incandescent light bulbs, but due to the presence of a small amount of mercury CFLs must be recycled. In Minnesota, it is illegal to throw CFLs in the garbage. Until now there hasn't been a free and convenient way to recycle them - but now, just take your old bulbs down to Menards!

If you have any questions, contact Neely at ncranesmith@mncee.org or 612-335-5852.
