Pedalers for Peace Founders Ride Again

This fall, three 2007 Auggie grads and founders of the Augsburg College Pedalers for Peace will be taking to the road again. Only this time, they're riding from Bemidji to New Orleans!

They're hoping to make a multimedia travelogue out of their journey, and they're looking for supplies (biking and otherwise) to help them accomplish their goal. Here's a message from Alisa Hoven (she'll be biking with Sarah Pesola and Betsy Popelka):

"Three Augsburg grads are biking down the Mississippi River once again, this time heading from headwaters to gulf! The team will depart at the end of the summer and are looking for some gear. If you are able to lend out any of the gear listed below for the fall months, or know someone who can, please contact Alisa Hoven, alisa.hoven@gmail.com.

Here is a list of items they still need:

compressible water jugs, cooking utensils & cooking kit, small tents, tarp,
pannier bags, bicycle tire tubes, wheels, air pumps, first aid kit, and
various art supplies for their chronicle.

Thanks so much!"

Agresso Software Changes

Augsburg will be upgrading the Agresso software during the weekend of June 6. This upgrade will result in a few changes to the appearance of the Agresso screens, both for those users who access Agresso directly through the client application, as well as for users who use the web interface. Please note that these screen changes will not effect the appearance of the student web. We will be having some open sessions for people to come and become familiar with these screen changes.

The open session are:

Monday, June 2, at 3 p.m. in Lindell 15
Wednesday, June 4, at Noon in Lindell 15

If you are unable to attend any of these open sessions, you can use these links to follow video demonstrations of the screen changes.

Records & Registration Down June 6 - 8

Due to a software upgrade, the Records and Registration web site will be down from 10 p.m. on Thursday, June 5 until Monday, June 9 at 8 a.m. All Enrollment Center service areas including Financial Aid, Registrar’s Office, Student Accounts and Academic Advising are affected by this upgrade and will have limited service during this time. The Enrollment Center will be open and continue to be able to accept payments and registration forms; however, we will not be able to process any payments or registration changes until Monday, June 9. The Registrar’s Office will continue to be able to process transcript requests and Academic Advising will also continue to take appointments but will not be able to process any registration forms.

Thank you for your patience during this time!

Heidi Breen Leaving Augsburg

It is with mixed emotions that I notify you this morning of Heidi Breen's resignation from her position as Director of Alumni Relations at Augsburg College. While we are sad to see Heidi move on to the next chapter of her life, we are grateful for her many years of service to the College in a variety of roles. Heidi has graciously decided to remain with us until the end of July to help facilitate a transition in the office, and she has requested not to have any type of a going away party. Instead, she plans on spending some time with each of us over the next couple of months while she is here saying goodbye. Again, we both thank Heidi and wish her all the best. Our plans for a search will be announced in the next couple weeks.
