Subject: Mortensen Hall Roof Replacement begins August 1st.
Submitter:
Peter Chaput, Facilities Manager, Facilities Management

Message: Augsburg College has contracted with Berwald Roofing to replace the roof on Mortensen Hall. This four week project is scheduled to begin August 1 and shall be completed by August 28. Please be advised that the contractors will be utilizing a crane and other equipment and will need to establish a safety zone around the building. Orange safety fence and/or caution tape shall indicate the safety perimeter. The north and south entrances to Mortensen Hall shall remain open to pedestrian traffic throughout the project. The maintenance / contractor parking stalls will be within the saftey zone and shall be inaccessible. The maintenance staff and contractors will need to utilize the south parking lot for the interim. This project is scheduled to be completed before move in weekend and should not affect these activities. Please remember that outdoor construction projects are subject to potential weather delays. Please bear with us as we complete this important capital improvement project.

Subject: Lab Science Course Registration
Submitter:
Wayne Kallestad, Registrar, Registrar's Office

Message: Most lab science (BIO, CHM, PHY, SCI) courses will require a separate registration for the lab. When registering for courses, be sure to register for both the course and the lab. Please check your active course listings on AugNet Records and Registration to ensure you are properly registered for both the lecture section and the corresponding lab section. Use the course listing on AugNet Records and Registration to determine if your science course does have a required lab.
