Subject: Spring parking permit sales are underway
Submitter:
Krista Young, Communications and Parking Manager, Public Safety

Message: Permit prices: resident, commuter, and P.A. permits are $120 for spring semester, with registration and full payment required online.

New Hall underground permits are $360 for spring semester, with registration and full payment required online.

Minneapolis city street permits are $25 and are valid until next fall, with full amount due at the time permit is picked up from the City of Minneapolis.

Permit sales:
All residents, commuters, and P.A. students who did not have a fall semester permit but would like a permit for spring semester must register for the permit online with ParkAdmin beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 8. Sales will continue until the permits are sold out.

To pick up your permit, you must have completed the online registration and payment during sales (beginning 10 a.m. January 8). Two business days after you purchase your permit, you may pick it up from the Department of Public Safety Communications Center located in the Urness/Mortensen lobby. The Communications Center is open 24/7. A photo I.D. will be required to pick up the permit.

Minneapolis city street permit sales:
City street permits are the only permits students may purchase without using the online system. Only Augsburg College resident students are eligible for Minneapolis city street permits. City street permits are limited and will be reserved on a first-response basis. To obtain a city street permit, please e-mail youngk@augsburg.edu between 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 18 and Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 4 p.m. You will receive an e-mail back letting you know whether you have reserved a permit and how to pick it up. Please remember you can only purchase an Augsburg permit or a city permit, not both.

Using the online system for the first time
•Open your web browser and go to Inside Augsburg (formerly AugNet).

•Login to AugNet Services.

•Click on Parking Services below your name.

•On this page, click on the Create New Account button, then fill out the registration information and submit it following the prompts on each page.

•Once you’ve submitted the information, you’ll see three highlighted red options. Select Register/Edit Your Vehicle. On the next page that opens, click the blue Add New Vehicle button. Fill out your vehicle information in the box that pops up, then click the gray Add New Vehicle button.

•Click the small blue P button at the bottom of the page.

•Read the parking policies and click I Agree. On the next page, click the highlighted red text that lists the permit you want. If no red text appears, permits have been sold out.

•Review the information for accuracy on the page that pops up, then click the Purchase this Permit button at the bottom of the page.

•Finish the process on the next page by making your online payment – this is the only option for buying a permit. A Visa or Mastercard is required. Choose a payment method from the dropdown box, type in the cardholder’s name, then enter the card number, security code, and expiration date. Important: Click Submit Payment Information only once.

•After a moment, a screen will appear and let you know when your payment has gone through. Print this page for your records. You’ve completed the online registration

Subject: Professor letters from CLASS and Access students
Submitter:
Regina Hopingardner, Administrative Assistant, CLASS Program

Message: Faculty: Students will be letting you know that they work with either the CLASS Office or the Access Center by giving you a letter to sign. It lists the accommodations a student is eligible for and the name of the specialist working with that student. The back of the letter details the procedure faculty should follow when a student is taking a test in the Groves Lab.

Please sign any letters you receive and keep the white copy for your records. Students can only take exams with us if they give you the letter and return the signed yellow copy to us. They must then fill out a proctor request form for each test.

If you have any questions, please call us at x1053. We have more faculty information at: www.augsburg.edu/classprogram/faculty.html

Subject: 2007-2008 Classroom Preferences Form
Submitter:
Marie J Odenbrett, Scheduling Coordinator, Event and Classroom Services

Message: Classroom scheduling for the 07-08 school year is right around the corner, and this year we will be implementing the automated scheduling features in our scheduling program Ad Astra. To make sure that the program works efficiently we need to collect updated classroom preferences from all departments for courses that have specific needs such as data projectors or computers for students. There are also some classes that need to meet in specific rooms because it is the only room on campus that has the equipment that a course might need. Please return the complete Classroom Preference Form to Events Services CB #64.

A pdf version of the "Classroom Preferences Form" can now be accessed from the lower right corner of the Registrar's webpage under Faculty Information. www.augsburg.edu/enroll/registrar/index.html

All other classroom change request should now be sent to roomrequest@augsburg.edu.
