Magnuson had a five-point weekend (three goals, two assists) as Augsburg swept Wesleyan (Conn.) in nonconference action for its first two victories of the season.

In Friday's 3-2 win, Magnuson scored two goals, including the game-winner with 2:28 remaining in the third period, for her second multi-goal game of the season and ninth of her Auggie career. In Saturday's 4-1 win, Magnuson opened the scoring with a power-play goal at the 2:13 mark of the first period, then assisted on two goals in the third period.

This season, Magnuson leads the Auggies with 10 goals and 13 points. Her 10 goals are fourth-best among MIAC players overall, and her 13 points are ninth-best. In her two seasons at Augsburg (36 games), Magnuson has 31 goals and nine assists for 40 points. Her career goals total is the sixth-most in school history, while her career points total currently ranks 14th-most in school history.

Augsburg (2-6-3 overall) returns to action with a nonconference series against Finlandia (Mich.) this weekend in Hancock, Mich. Friday's (1/12) game is at 7:15 p.m. (Eastern time), with Saturday's (1/13) game at 1 p.m. (Eastern).
