Message: Cleaning out those bookshelves?

Lindell Library participates in “Better World Books Library Discards & Donations” program. Better World Books is a book recycling venture. They market the books to 14 online booksellers. When the items Lindell Library donates are sold, a share of the profit comes back to the library with a share of the profit also going to Books for Africa, our selected literacy partner. In addition, a number of books are sent to Africa by Better World Books.

When the library initially receives any donation, library staff reviews each item for possible addition to the library collection. The items not selected for the collection are boxed and shipped to Better World Books, at their expense.

Better World Books accepts most books, CDs, DVDs and VHS cassettes.

They don’t accept mass-market paperbacks, magazines/ periodicals, or encyclopedia sets older than 2001.

Please contact me if you have items to donate or want more information.
