Subject: Online print/photo project request forms reminder

Submitter:
Lynn H Mena, Editorial Assistant, Public Relations and Communication

Message: Marketing and Communications now offers *online* print and photo request forms, making it easier to request our assistance on projects for the upcoming 2006-2007 academic year. These forms are required for *all* print and photo requests.

Please take a moment to review and bookmark the two links provided at the end of this message. Also listed below for your convenience are the general lead-time guidelines for requesting projects.

Print Project Request Guidelines:
* For all new projects, please plan for a SIX-WEEK lead time.
* For substantial revisions to an existing piece, please plan for a FOUR-WEEK lead time.
* For minor revisions to an existing piece, please plan for a THREE-WEEK lead time.

Photography Request Guidelines:
All photo requests must be received a minimum of three weeks prior to the event for scheduling purposes. Because Augsburg College does not employ a full-time staff photographer, priority will always be given to events and photos for which there is a broad external marketing purpose. If we cannot accommodate your request, we will be happy to help coordinate a student intern photographer (if available), a professional freelance photojournalist (at an approximate rate of $150/hour), or you may check out a digital camera from the Lindell Library circulation desk to take your own photos.

Subject: Bohemian Flats Day August 19, 12-5 p.m.

Submitter:
Natalie Wright, Administrative Assistant, Government and Community Relations, Institutional Advancement

Message: On Saturday August 19 from 12-5 p.m., join artists, musicians, dancers, storytellers and past and current community residents at Bohemian Flats Park (2100 West River Parkway, beneath the Washington Ave Bridge) to remember and celebrate how the West Bank neighborhood has been home to multiple immigrant groups over the decades.

Bohemian Flats Park was home to waves of thriving immigrant communities including Swedes, Slovaks, Bohemians, Danish, Irish and Italians along the banks of the Mississippi River until the 1930's.

This day will celebrate the many diverse cultures of our neighborhood and discuss the history of immigration in our community through art, dance and spoken word.
