Message: The Facilities Office has about half a dozen house plants that are here for the taking. These plants came from the Augsburg House - the President and Anne Frame cannot transport them all to their Red Wing house. Any interested parties can stop by the Facilities Office (Memorial Hall Room 20) between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily to check them out.

Subject: Research Volunteers Needed

Submitter:
Ana Chilingarishvili, Student

Message: Research title: The Psychological Impact of War on Children
Eligibility: Adults of any age who were exposed to war during childhood.

The goal of this research is to examine the psychological impact of war on children. Research volunteers will be asked to do an interview about their childhood experience of war. As an incentive volunteers will receive a cash payment of $25. As an indirect benefit to participation, volunteers will be contributing to increase the existing knowledge of the long-term psychological impact of war on children.

If you're interested in participating in this study please contact Ana Chilingarishvili at chilinga@augsburg.edu or by phone: 612-501-4498.

Interviews start approximately June 26 and will be completed by mid-July. Please contact Ana as soon as possible since the number of volunteers needed is limited.

Subject: Free Desk!
Submitter:
Nina Johnson, Hall Director, Residence Life

Message: I'm moving and need to get rid of my desk. I bought it new this winter from Office Max. It's in great condition.

The desk has a white base and a medium brown wood-grain top. It's 4' wide, 2' deep, and 30" tall. It has one drawer and a cubby space for a computer tower.

If you're interested and can pick it up by Thursday afternoon from Mortensen Hall, please call me at x1322 or email me at johnson1@augsburg.edu.
