Subject: Recording July 3rd as a Paid Holiday

Message: As we were advised last week, Dr. Paul Pribbenow has graciously proclaimed July 3, 2006, as a paid holiday. This applies to all non-union, benefits eligible exempt and non-exempt employees.

Please record this paid holiday on your timesheet for non-exempt employees, or absence report for exempt employees, by recording the number of hours absent (hours should be prorated for those working less than 1.00 FTE) and coding the absence with the code PH (Presidents Holiday).

Subject: Research Volunteers Needed

Message: Research title: The Psychological Impact of War on Children
Eligibility: Adults of any age who had an experience of war during their childhood.

The goal of this research is to examine the psychological impact of war on children. Research volunteers will be asked to do an interview about their childhood experience of war. As an incentive volunteers will receive a cash payment of $25. As an indirect benefit to participation, volunteers will be contributing to increase the existing knowledge of the long-term psychological impact of war on children.
