Message: Many of the new students this fall have not signed and submitted the Paymant Policy Disclosure form. This is required of all new Augsburg students. WITHOUT THIS DOCUMENT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REGISTER FOR YOUR NEXT TERM. Please check your account on the web to determine if you have completed this task. You will only have to sign this form once, and it will be in place for the rest of your time here at Augsburg

All dependent students must have their parents cosign this document. You can obtain a copy of the Payment Policy Disclosure by downloading it from the Augsburg website. The web address for the document is:
www.augsburg.edu/enroll. Then you should click on Account Information in the upper left corner of the screen to access a printable form.

Once the form is completed, it should be delivered to the Enrollment center in person, by mail or it can be faxed to us at 612-330-1308.

Snacks will be provided.

Subject: Thrivent matching forms due on Monday

Submitter:
Betsey Norgard, Director of Publications, Public Relations and Communication

Message: All faculty and staff gifts to Augsburg's Access to Excellence campaign qualify for a 50% match from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans (formerly Lutheran Brotherhood). If you or a family member has a Thrivent policy or receives benefits, you are already a member and need only to complete a matching gift form.

If you aren't already a member, all of us who work at Augsburg, a Lutheran institution, qualify for associate membership for only $10.

By completing the easy application, your $10 Thrivent membership will trigger the extra 50% to your campaign contribution.

AND, remember that your contribution also increases Augsburg's giving rate and helps us qualify for part of the national Thrivent fund for colleges that significantly strengthen their giving programs.

The catch? you must submit all Thrivent forms (both Giving Plus matching forms and membership forms) to Augsburg's Development Office by Monday, Nov. 7--this coming Monday--to meet Thrivent's deadline. Everyone must submit a Giving Plus matching form to receive the match. For those who are not already Thrivent members, you must apply for membership at the same time.

You can download the Giving Plus PDF file at giving_plus.pdf and the application for associate membership at Associate Member Application.pdf . Send your pledge form and these forms to the Development Office, CB 142. If you have questions, contact Kay Ahlstrom at 612-338-4818 or ahlstrom@augsburg.edu.

Subject: Auggie football at Metrodome on Friday afternoon!
Submitter:

Message: Augsburg home football game vs. Bethel to be played at Metrodome on Friday 11/4

http://www.augsburg.edu/athletics/sportsnews/110305dome.htm

MINNEAPOLIS (11/3/05) -- Because the air-supported dome is already in place over Edor Nelson Field, Augsburg College will "host" Bethel University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference football contest on Friday (11/4) at 3 p.m. at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis.

Free parking is available on the Metrodome upper lot, adjacent to the Vikings' ticket office. Lot entrance is off of 11th Avenue South, near the intersection with 5th Street South. Metrodome entry and tickets will be at Gate D, adjacent to the upper parking lot (above the loading dock).

Tickets will be handled just like a regular Augsburg home game. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for students. Augsburg and MIAC passes will be accepted. All Augsburg students, faculty and staff get into any Augsburg regular-season home game free with ID.

If you can't make it to the game, you can listen to the action live online, through Augsburg's live audio webcast (Stretch Internet). Go to http://www.augsburg.edu/athletics/liveaudio/ for the webcast on Friday afternoon.

The game will mark the 16th season in a row that Augsburg has played a football game at the Metrodome. Augsburg will be making its 19th football appearance at the Metrodome this season since 1983, the most of any Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference school. This will be the third time Augsburg and Bethel have met in the Metrodome. The teams faced each other indoors in the 1996 and 1997 seasons.

The Auggies have a 7-11 record in games played at the Metrodome and an 8-11 record all-time in games played indoors. Augsburg also won an NCAA Division III playoff game over Concordia-Moorhead at the Fargodome in Fargo, N.D., in 1997.
