Wednesday: Physician Assistant Info Session
Join URGO for a panel-style information session discussing physician assistant (PA) school applications. Hear from representatives of the Augsburg PA Program as well as recent alumni. Alumni will speak on topics such as picking schools, creating an application timeline, personal statements, and preparing for interviews. Food will be provided.

Nominations for Christensen-Justice Award Wanted
Nominations for the Marina Christensen-Justice Award (Please note that Christensen-Justice was Marina's last name)
Due March 11, 2016
The recipient of the Marina Christensen-Justice Award must have demonstrated a dedication to the community beyond the Augsburg College campus, working in solidarity with marginalized people, as characterized by the personal and professional life of Marina Christensen-Justice. This award is given to one Augsburg senior each year at Commencement.
Nominations will be judged on the following criteria:
Depth and breadth of community involvement off-campus,
Commitment to understanding of systemic roots of the issues being addressed,
Personal and professional commitment to work with marginalized communities,
Bold and courageous leadership,
and authentic and sustained relationships with community and issues.

Jr & Sr DAY Students May Enroll In AU Courses
Greetings,
Junior and senior DAY students (based on earned credits) can now register for AU courses online with no special permission when Crossover Registration begins for Fall Semester on April 20.
Previously Crossover Registration into AU courses was not allowed for DAY students unless special permission was obtained.

Extended Through March 8: GCTWF Survey
The Great Colleges to Work For survey has been open for two weeks. So far, Augsburg has a 70% response rate. While that number is great, there are still many people who haven't yet participated.
The survey has been extended through Tuesday, March 8 at 4:00 p.m. to allow additional time for those who haven't had an opportunity to take the survey.

Recycle for Pizza
The Environmental Student Leaders Action Network has introduced Terracycle bins to the Urness bathrooms. The bins will collect Personal care products such as: Toothpaste, toothbrushes, Shower products, deodorant, etc. The floor that collects the most wins a PIZZA PARTY! The competition ends on March 10th! There is another Terracycle bin for community use in Christensen.

Upper Midwest Emmy Chapter Nominees
The Upper Midwest Emmy® Chapter Student Television Awards just announced their list of nominees and Augsburg College Film students made the cut!
Nia Ross, Line Loetveit, Frankie Mcnamara, and Ray Flint have been nominated for their documentary "Superhumans". "Superhumans" is a short documentary that reveals the omnipresent pressures of the society and celebrates human imperfections. The documentary will inspire individuals to unapologetically live up to no one's standards but their own.
The film won Best Of at the Augsburg College Best of Film Festival last Spring. Let's hope they take home the Crystal Pillar on April 10 when the winners will be announced.

Nabo is open from 7:30am-8:00pm, with Hot Food starting at 10:00am.
The Commons is open from 7:30am-7:00pm.
Spring Break
On Friday, March 11, All Food Service Locations will be closing at 1:30 p.m. Nabo will be closed from Saturday, March 12-Sunday, March 20. The Commons will be closed from Saturday, March 12-Saturday, March 19, The Commons will be opening for Dinner on Sunday, March 20. Einstein's will be open over Spring Break Monday-Friday from 7:30am-1:30pm, with a condensed menu.

Art Club Trip to Northern Clay Center
Art Club is hosting a field trip to the Northern Clay Center at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8. We will have a tour and maybe even throw a little clay for fun. If you are interested please contact Max Preus at preusm@augsburg.edu so we can get a count of people who will be attending. We will meet in Old Main 6 at 4:00 pm and then promptly walk to Northern Clay.

Buzzed, Impaired, Drunk Driving?? - Read On
Ever wondered what actually happens if you are pulled over by law enforcement for possible driving under the influence or some type of impaired driving? Join the EP!C peer health educators on Wednesday 3/9/16 at 6:30 pm in the Student Lounge to hear from a state trooper and an Augsburg student about what to expect and the real cost of getting a DUI. There will also be a representative from AAA MN talking about a recent study on buzzed and other impaired driving.

8th Traditional Powwow - Volunteers Needed
Augsburg College 8th Traditional Powwow will be held Saturday, April 2, here at Augsburg in the Si Melby Gymnasium.
Grand Entries (beginning of a dancing session) will be at 1 PM and 6 PM, however dancing/ceremony will be all day until roughly 9 PM. Honoring for Augsburg American Indian Graduates will be at 3:00 PM. A Gathering for American Indian Alumni will be held at 4:30 PM and Kalpulli KetzalCoatlicue Aztec Dancers will join us at 5:30 PM.
You are welcome to come, bring you family and friends, purchase some craft items from our vendors, come support our American Indian students here at Augsburg by showing up and learning about our rich culture and traditions at our hosted Powwow. Keeping Track of Auggies
Mark Tranvik Presents At Recent Events
Mark Tranvik of the Religion Department and Senior Fellow in the Christensen Center for Vocation made four presentations on Sundays in February to Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Apple Valley on the topic: "Is God Choosy? Christian Views on Predestination."
Tranvik also led a theological conference for Lutheran pastors in Winter Park, Colorado, from February 23-25 on the topic: "Martin Luther and the Called Life: A Resource for Congregations."
