Public Safety and Facilities Announcements

Move-In Parking Restrictions

Saturday September 3rd is Freshman move in! Due to the construction in progress around campus we have had to make some changes with parking on this day to accommodate the influx of traffic.

So there will be no parking posted along both sides of 21st Ave.S. Vehicles parked here may be relocated to another location at the owners expense. We are also reserving lots A - F in order to stage the parent/student vehicles for move in. So we are asking all faculty, staff, and students that will be on campus that day to try and park in the lots that Are to the east of 22nd ave s.

Again we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we thank you for your cooperation.

Focused Conversation: Campus Facilities Updates

The Campus Space and Master Plan that was approved by the Board of Regents last May calls out the need for the College to establish an infrastructure to best manage our physical assets that establishes:
• standards for furniture, fixtures, and equipment for common meeting areas and work spaces;
• planning to allow for the appropriate handling of deferred maintenance needs;
• action plans to remodel the second floor of the library to support students' academic success (Gage Center);
• planning to increase the utilization of the space in the lower level of the Christensen Center (A-Club Grill); and,
• a framework to be followed when assigning space to various departments or individuals.

Please join us for a Focused Conversation relative to the above which will include an overview of the work that has commenced over the summer months, particularly relative to the Mortensen renovations, Library shifts to the lower level, Gage Center build out on the second floor of the library, and A-Club Grill/Admissions renovation work in the Christensen Center.

For those of you that were unable to attend the August 29th focused conversation we have scheduled another session.
When: September 14, 2011
Time: 2:00- 3:00 p.m.
Where: Marshall Room, Christensen Center

If you have any questions prior to the meeting, please contact David Draus on extension x1033.

Twins Tickets for Labor Day

I have tickets available for the Twins/White Sox games on Labor Day. There are two games that day, an afternoon one and an evening one, and I have 4 tickets available for each game. They are my season tickets, and I'm just not planning on using them that day. They are in the left field bleachers, section 131, row 11. Only 11 rows from the field, and you have an overhang to protect from both heat and rain. Also, you're right next to the bullpen. Face value is $23 per ticket, and while I'd like to keep them in groups of 4, I'd consider splitting them into pairs as well. Thanks.
