Voicemail Maintenance (August 19)
Beginning at 4:30pm on Thursday, August 19, until approximately 6:00pm, voicemail services will be intermittently unavailable on campus due to scheduled maintenance. During this time, callers will be unable to leave messages and users will be unable to access their messages.
Renaissance Tickets in HR
Human Resources has discount tickets available for the Renaissance Festival. We are selling tickets at the following prices: Adult - $15.95, Kids - $8.50, Food Books - $5.00. Please bring correct change or check. We cannot accept credit card.
The Renaissance Festival runs August 21 - October 3 weekends and Labor Day, and Friday, October 1. Open 9am - 7pm. Tickets are valid for any date the Festival is open.

Keeping Track of Auggies
MathFest Populated by Augsburg Math Students
Four Augsburg mathematics students recently returned from Mathfest, the annual summer meeting of the Mathematical Association of America, in Pittsburgh, PA. Undergraduate students Nana Owusu and Jazmine Darden presented "Analysis of Ecosystem Carbon Uptake using the 2nd Fundamental Theorem of Calculus", Jeremy Anthony presented "Modeling Ecosystem Carbon Uptake using Wavelet Analyses", and Nghiep Huynh presented "Self-formation and Patterns of Arid Ecosystems". Nghiep received an award for Outstanding Student Presentation. Professor John Zobitz was advisor to each of these students in their summer research projects. Modeling participation at professional meetings, Professor Zobitz presented "A Hitchhikers Guide to Data Assimilation for the Ecological Sciences". Congratulations to all the students!
