Public Safety and Facilities Announcements

Minneapolis City Street Parking Restriction

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday Feb 11, parking will be prohibited on the even sides of non-snow emergency streets in Minneapolis until April 1 or until snow conditions change and the restriction is lifted.

Minneapolis officials say the winter parking restrictions are necessary because snowbanks are encroaching so far into roads that emergency vehicles could struggle to get through.

If you plan to park on the city streets please visit the city of Minneapolis web site for more resources, including "street look-up" maps of the city with highlighted odd/even sides of streets for your area.

http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/snow/

At www.augsburg.edu/dps you can also find a campus map highlighting the restricted parking areas on campus.

Wednesday, February 24
10:20-10:40 a.m.

Lonnie Ellis is also in leadership in ISAIAH, a collection of 90 churches working for justice, and in Gamaliel, a national faith-based organizing group. Mr. Ellis is a speaker and retreat leader on the integration of work for justice and contemplative spirituality.

Lunch with Lonnie Ellis will follow the chapel service at 11 a.m. for interested students, faculty, and staff. Please RSVP to Lonna Field at fieldl@augsburg.edu or 612-330-1467 by Feb. 22.
