Inside Augsburg

For those of you who only need your car on campus every once in while when it's too cold to bike or you missed the bus, Parking Services on Augnet will now allow you purchase a temporary permit ranging from a 1-day permit to a month-long permit depending on your needs. You can register, pay for the permit, and print it from your home or office. Simply put the printed permit in your windshield and park in the designated lot. These $5-a-day permits will be available on the first day of school, as the system is currently undergoing updates.

Document Shredding

In preparation for the upcoming school year, many departments are cleaning out old files. Any documents that are non-confidential can be placed in recycling containers located in hallways of each building. However, many of you have documents that are confidential and need to be shredded.

The Facilities Department is scheduling a document shredding company to be on campus mid-August. If you have any confidential materials that you wish to be shredded at that time, please box them up and mark the boxes "to be shredded." Then, send an e-mail to adamsth@augsburg.edu by Friday, Aug. 8, and I will make arrangements for our staff to pick up these boxes from your office. If you have any questions, please e-mail me or call x1566.

Parking Permits

Parking registration begins Aug. 4. Please visit our web site at www.augsburg.edu/dps/permitreg.html for detailed information about 2008-09 parking permit sales. All registration must be completed online. Those of you that register in the first week will be entered into a drawing for a free parking permit!

Augsburg Cycling Club Jerseys

We will be ordering Bib shorts, regular shorts, short sleeve jerseys, thermal jackets, skin suits.

The designs are not finalized yet, so if you have input, please let us know. Also we will be taking departmental sponsor ships for the jerseys. Its a great way to advertise your department to students, cyclists, and people around town.

Online Catering Orders

A'viands at Augsburg will be taking ALL catering orders through a web-based system starting Monday, July 28, 2008.

Please visit https://augsburgcatering.catertrax.com/ to place your orders. In the customer log-in box, you will find the link to create an account. Orders can be submitted up to a year in advance and must be submitted four days prior to your event. You will find all of the tools to create and manage your order right on the web site, but should you need any help, please feel free to contact the catering department.

ALL CATERING ORDERS MUST BE SUBMITTED ONLINE STARTING MONDAY, JULY 28, 2008. E-MAIL ORDERS WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED. PHONE ORDERS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED ON AN INDIVIUAL BASIS.

Includes: 3 bathrooms, shared kitchen/dinning room, large living room, laundry, and off street parking. The house is one block to a bus line that runs directly to the U of M.

*All utilities will be split equally among tenants.

Rooms available:
Bedroom #1: Large room with private bath on main level. This room could be shared by two people which would cause a difference in rent.
Bedrooms #2-4: are on the upper level of the house.
