Meet the Tutors

Jenn Forsthoefel
Jenn Forsthoefel

Jennifer (Jenn) Forsthoefel is the Director of the Writing Center and Assistant Professor of English at Augsburg University. She is originally from Tallahassee, Florida and spent many years in Atlanta, Georgia completing her graduate work before moving to Minneapolis. She has a PhD in Rhetoric and Composition with a focus on Writing Center Studies. She been teaching and tutoring writing since 2007 and has presented her research at regional, national, and international conferences. Her current research focuses on the impact of writing centers on the culture of writing on SLAC campuses. In her spare time, Jenn loves spending time with friends, listening to podcasts, watching bad reality television, and searching for the best burrito in town.


Abigail Eck
Abigail Eck

Abigail Eck is a junior majoring in Music Education with a double minor in English Literature and Chemistry. She is a Rehearsal assistant for GTCYS and the manager for Augsburg University’s orchestra. Abby loves reading, traveling, art, and her beautiful tiny black cat, Coco.

 


Daniella Clayton
Daniella Clayton

Daniella Clayton is an education major in her junior year studying at Augsburg University. Though she hopes to one day become a high school English teacher, she currently works as the Art Editor for the online magazine Winter Tangerine. You can see some of her publications in Weave Magazine, The Patterns Book, Winter Tangerine Review, Murphy Square, and The Boiler Journal.


Sophie Finnerty
Sophie Finnerty

Sophie Finnerty is a Senior at Augsburg University studying Theatre and Performance. She enjoys traveling, finding new coffee shops, hiking, wildflower gardens and supporting local art. If you want to talk about banana slugs or redwood trees then you better hop on down to the writing center as soon as possible.


Matthew Hines
Matthew Hines

Matt Hines is currently in his second year at Augsburg double majoring in marketing and management. He is also a member of the Augsburg hockey team. Outside of the hockey season, Matt loves to golf, fish and spend time up at his cabin in Brainerd.


Ashley Kronebusch
Ashley Kronebusch

Ashley Kronebusch (pronounced crow-na-bush) is a second-year majoring in New Media Studies. She is from Minneapolis, where she lived with her parents and pet cat, Pippin. In her free time, Ashley likes to read comics, draw, and play on her Switch. Her favorite animal is frogs and her favorite color is purple. Ashley’s dream is to draw comics and have a pet axolotl.


Gabrielle Lewis
Gabrielle Lewis

Gabrielle Lewis is a junior from Austin, Texas majoring in Theatre with concentrations in performance and directing/dramaturgy/playwriting and a minor in Spanish. She is also the Secretary and Treasurer for the Augsburg Music-Theater Club (she loves musicals, but could never perform in one). She hopes to work in theatre education or theatre for communities.


Anne Liners
Anne Liners

Anne Liners is a fourth-year student from Milwaukee, WI majoring in Secondary Education (Communication Arts and Literature) with a minor in Linguistics. Anne is passionate about words, languages, and the way we communicate, and hopes to someday introduce high-school students to those same passions. Anne enjoys reading, writing, cooking (although she’s terrible at it), talking through movies, playing with makeup, and pretending that tea can solve all of her problems.

Sahra Mohamed is a senior majoring in communication arts/literature and secondary education and is a copy editor for The Echo. She enjoys reading YA novels, scrolling through twitter, and rating iced coffee from various coffee shops.


Reggie Oblitey
Reggie Oblitey

Reginald Oblitey (Reggie) is an international student and a Biology minor. He plans to go to medical school to become a neurosurgeon. He sees himself as a people’s person and tries to make those around him laugh and feel comfortable. He looks forward to tutoring and hopes he can help students and also learn from them.


Isaac Sonquist
Isaac Sonquist

Isaac Sonquist is a Junior studying English Literature/Language/Theory with a minor in writing. This is his first time as a Writing Center tutor at Augsburg but has had previous tutoring experience with writing in an Effective Writing classroom last spring semester. Isaac does well with giving effective feedback on the work that is more than if you have a comma misplaced in a sentence. Some things he enjoys is reading and analyzing The Hunger Games as well as watching Big Brother and sleeping in.
