COVID-19: Current Status

Augsburg University Under Modified Operations Plan

Augsburg is working under a modified operations plan, which began March 18 and is in effect until further notice.

Summer classes are online. Resident students who received exceptions to live on campus still retain fob access to their residence hall.

Employees (including faculty, staff, and student workers) whose roles are deemed critical to university operations will retain access to campus buildings for work purposes.

All staff, faculty and students must wear face coverings while in any common areas while on Augsburg property, based on Minnesota Department of Health guidelines updated in April.

Students’ general fob access has been turned off to all campus buildings. All campus events and athletic activities have been canceled. Campus buildings are closed to the public, and social distancing practices have been instituted for those who remain on campus.

Augsburg is offering face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes this fall. All members of our community—students, faculty, and staff—will complete a daily symptom screening before coming to campus (or leaving their residence hall).  Hand sanitizer will be readily available across campus, and we have developed enhanced cleaning protocols.
