Staff Senate invites you to participate in the Augsburg Staff Community Engagement Day on Friday, October 24! You may select one or both of the options outlined below. Please check with your supervisor for approval of the usage for your community services paid leave.
9 a.m. – noon: Brian Coyle Community Center
Meet at 9 a.m. in the Oren Gateway Lobby. The morning will be spent participating in a variety of projects at one of the neighborhood’s most important organizations — the Brian Coyle Community Center. Learn about the many programs of the Center including: the food shelf, youth and English Language Learning programs, the Sisterhood of the Traveling Scarf Boutique, and much more.
Lunch is noon to 12:45 p.m. on your own, but we will be gathering at the Afro Deli.
1-4 p.m.: West Bank Cleanup
Meet at 1 p.m. in Oren Gateway Center Lobby. Spend the afternoon with the West Bank Business Association staff and Augsburg colleagues for a neighborhood clean-up while learning about the restaurants, coffee shops, bars and arts organization in Cedar-Riverside. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Gloves and trash bags will be provided.
