Democracy in the Classroom

The materials in this section were developed in response to requests from teachers for a practical guide to integrating Public Achievement into their classrooms.

While teachers empower students to think and act as citizens, Public Achievement is not only about the students. It is also about teachers, staff, and community members acting as citizens. In Public Achievement, teachers are not confined to a supervisory or instructional role, they put their own passion into projects and work together with students to learn and effect change.
