Women's hockey team going strong
The Augsburg women's hockey team is on a roll.
After starting the first half of the season winless (0-6-3) in November and December, January proved to be a great month for the Auggies. Augsburg has won six of its last eight games, including a sweep of St. Catherine last weekend in MIAC play.
Along the way, two Auggies earned MIAC Player of the Week honors. Forward Tiffany Magnuson (So., Green Bay, Wis./Notre Dame Academy HS) was named to the honor after Augsburg's sweep of Wesleyan (Conn.) on Jan. 5-6, and goalie Toni Menth (Fr., Buffalo, Minn.) was named to the honor after Augsburg's split with St. Thomas on Jan. 19-20.
