Augsburg ranked in U.S. News & World Report's 'America's Best Colleges 2008' and one of 161 ‘Best Midwestern Colleges’ by The Princeton Review

The U.S. News & World Report's annual ranking of America’s Best Colleges has been announced and Augsburg College is listed in the "Best Universities - Master's" category. The report states that the institutions making the list "provide a full range of undergraduate and master's programs."

According to the report, the rankings are based on several key measures of quality. These measures are: peer assessment; graduation and retention rates; faculty resources; student selectivity; financial resources; and alumni giving.

In addition, The Princeton Review has named Augsburg College one of the 161 “Best Midwestern Colleges.” The goal of the publication is to “identify some of the colleges and universities that stand out within each region.”

Augsburg is also profiled in The Princeton Review’s book “Colleges with a Conscience: 81 Great Schools with Outstanding Community Involvement.” According to The Princeton Review, Augsburg was selected because “of its record of having excellent service-learning programs and blending academics with community work.”
